I don't work in a HS, but I think this might work. I got fake dollars from a dollar store and when the kids participate in our activity, ask questions, comment on topic, they get a dollar. When they earn $100 they get a popcorn party. I used to keep a "bank book" organized like a checkbook ledger where we kept track of their money. I have to make that sheet up again; I don't know what happened to last years'.
