Hi,
I don't give gifts to my students but we usually do a food craft the week before we go off track. I bring in plain sugar cookies, white frosting, food coloring and all kinds of decorations or you can use sugar cones (pointy brown ice cream cones) and we make trees. I make up worksheets targeting sounds found in the activity or make up language worksheets for sequencing, same different, etc. Then we decorate the cookies, eat them, practice sounds or concepts and they love it. At my school, many kids never have the opportunity to decorate cookies so they appreciate this activity much more than a token toy or something. If you have access to a kitchen you can bake things too.
