In case of mp3/wav it might be a picture of the artist and clicking on the image in the browser takes you to the mp3/wav. This means that thumbnails can be useful even if you are not downloading graphics. It often serves as a graphical description of the file.

Hi!
Well, we think that this may happen when a server closes the connection before the download is finished.
We will look into it and make sure that this bug is removed in the next version.
Since thumbnails is one of the cornerstones of Medusa you cannot set the thumbnail-setting to 0.
You may pause the thumbnails (Use the small arrow to the right of the pause-button) if you know that there are no thumbnails pointing to the files you are intrested of.
