The Third Eye Perspective Christian Thoughts For Today:
Good Morning Peeps! How are you doing this “Humpity Hump Day” morning, good I hope? Are you having a good work week so far, I sure hope so? Now that the mid-term elections have ended, can we get back to being cordial and kind to each other? Regardless if you party’s candidate won or loss, can we accept it and move on? Can we put the hate and callous mentalities aside even if only until the next election happens? It is very disappointing to see how divided our great country has become just in the past two years. Praying that God intervenes and sets things straight soon! Have a good and very Blessed day today! - May God Bless You and Yours In 2018 and Beyond!!! - “Are YOU 100% sure, that you are Saved and headed to Heaven when you die? Are you sure YOUR name IS written in the Heavenly “Book of Life?” Is there absolutely not a shadow of a doubt in your mind, that your Salvation is already secured and you’re just waiting on the good Lord to call you home to be with Him? If the answer is “No, Not Sure, I Think So, Maybe, or Probably, then you need to get busy right now working on fixing that. You need to be totally sure where your Soul will spend eternity!” And AMEN goes right here….
***Remember, if you haven’t purchased it already, my newly published book “The Third Eye Perspective” book of Devotionals is available at Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and Xulon Press in Paperback, Hardback, also on EBook. Thank you!

Thought For Today – “My Enemy Is IN A Me”
By a show of virtual raised hands, how many of you in my reading audience feel you have true an enemy? Now I’m not talking about someone who just talks about you from time to time for whatever reason, I mean a real life diehard enemy who would love to see you totally and completely destroyed? I see quite a lot of hands raised, signaling that apparently there is a lot of people who feel these enemies are very real. This thought for today has been tugging at me for about a week now, and I really wasn’t sure where I was supposed to go with it until this morning. So with that being said, it is with this train of thought or line of thinking, that it was placed on my heart this morning to talk about, “My Enemy, Is In A Me!” and AMEN goes right here! The title of today’s message came to me while I was listing to my favorite online pastor Ron Carpenter. In his message, he was speaking in his series on “Supervision” which deals with how God wants us to supervise our resources, our Spiritual life, our Fleshly desires, etc… in order to fully unlock the Blessings of the Kingdom. It is a very powerful series, and I would suggest you go and listen to it ASAP if you are in need of direction. Okay, getting back to my message for today, I borrowed that one phrase from Pastor Ron’s message, and I think the direction God wants me to go with it is in discussing the validity of the true enemy we are dealing with on a daily basis. Pastor Ron actually admitted that he borrowed that phrase from Bishop T.D. Jakes, who is actually my other favorite online Pastor. Pastor Ron’s message stemmed from the book of Romans where the Apostle Paul is addressing the Romans about how even after being Saved, Born Again, Baptized, etc….that he still had to battle his flesh, thus the title “My Enemy, Is In A Me?” get it?
After seeing the behavior of this great nation turn to very foul and vile leading up to the mid-term elections, it really got me to trying to understand why both political parties became so uncontrollably violent in ways, as the election drew near. The republicans pointed the finger at the democrats as the perpetrators of the violence. The democrats in return pointed the finger at the republicans as being the perpetrators of the violence and sadly enough, both sides followers believed what their party’s told them. In thinking back to when my sweet Grandmother “Muddea” was still alive, I could hear her say had she been here to witness the total and complete chaos of the political state of the country right now, “Boy that devil is busy ain’t he? You better be Prayed up in the Lord, because that ol’ devil is real busy right now!” I loved my sweet Grandmother, she was a very wise woman and full of humility at all times. However, I would have to disagree with her on the above statement about the devil being the sole cause of what is happening in our country right now. The real blame needs to be on each and every person individually, including myself! The very reason our country has become so divided, racially sensitive, and so quick to judge our fellow man, is because of no one else but the reflection we see in the mirror each morning everytime we look into one. We have turned away from God despite calling ourselves “Saved” or “Born Again.” Now don’t misunderstand me, YES we are saved if we have Prayed the prayer and asked Jesus Christ into our hearts, and if we have been Baptized and washed clean of all of our past sins, we are indeed “Saved.” However, we are still dealing with an internal “enemy” known as our Flesh. And well we all know that it is a proven fact, that whatever the FLESH (aka In A Me) wants more times than not, the FLESH gets! Prove me wrong? Now that is not to say that we never deny our “In A Me” aka FLESH something that it is craving, it is just saying that more times than not, we give in to it and allow it to have its way. If that wasn’t/isn’t the case, that would mean that the Bible is wrong, because the Bible clearly states that after the fall of Man in the Garden of Eden, we don’t have the ability to be free from Sin. And in case you didn’t know, when we are driven to make decisions influenced by our “In A Me,” we are sinning.
Okay, Okay, Okay, I see some of you in my virtual audience are starting to look at me like I’m the only sinner left in the world who has a problem dealing with their “In A Me?” That’s fine, go ahead and leave me up on “front skreet” all by myself if you want to. I know that you are dealing with your “Enemy” just as much as I am and maybe even moreso than I am but you are just not willing to admit to it. Let’s think back to a few people in the Bible who struggled with their “In A Me” aka FLESH. The first one that comes to mind, would be young King David. You remember him right? He was the youngest son of Jesse who God sent Samuel to anoint while King Saul was on the throne. David had a true love for God and although he tried to do right, live right and even rule Israel right, his “In A Me” (FLESH) took him down a dark path of lust and betrayal and even ending in murder when he committed adultery with Bathsheba and her becoming pregnant, who was the wife of Uriah, a soldier in King David’s army. (read 2 Samuel). The next person that comes to mind, would be one of King David’s younger sons named Solomon. If you read your Bible regularly, you know that King Solomon is known as one of the wisest men to ever rule Israel. He did something no other king had done in those days, he asked God for Wisdom to help him be a great King. He was granted that wish and some scholars even consider him to have been the wisest and also the richest man on earth during his reign. But like his father before him King David, his “In A Me” (aka FLESH) eventually became is downfall from grace. It is said that towards the end of his reign he was literally half crazy. I have read somewhere in the Bible that he had hundreds of wives and concubines, despite that being against the law that regulated the life and reign of a King in those days. So you see, despite both of these men that served as Kings of Israel having a true love and admiration for God, they still fell into demise due to their “In A Me” they could not control. Now if men as great as just those two mentioned above struggled with it, and remember that God favored both men as Kings especially, how is it that we think we can overcome our “In A Me” when we have more temptations to sin in different ways in this day and age without being totally and completely committed to serving God? Giving a half effort and then repenting is not very pleasing to God at all. Yes the Bible says that if we repent HE will forgive us of our sins, but what He is more looking for, is a changed heart that equals a changed Spirit. Whatever you either feed your heart or allow to creep, seep, enter, into your Heart, you mind and body will follow! Feed your Heart God’s Word as often as you can so that it sends Spiritual nourishment to your body and Soul and limits your “In A Me” (aka FLESH’s) influence over your actions! Can I leave you with a question to ponder today if I may????
What Will You Do Now To Try and Limit Your “In A Me?” Can I get an AMEN????
“Today, choose to “Ride or Die” with Jesus Christ! Afterall, isn’t that EXACTLY what HE did for US on the Cross?”
