Morning Christian Words of Encouragement – “Are YOU 100% sure, that you are Saved and headed to Heaven when you die? Are you sure YOUR name IS written in the Heavenly “Book of Life?” Is there absolutely not a shadow of a doubt in your mind, that your Salvation is already secured and you’re just waiting on the good Lord to call you home to be with Him? If the answer is “No, Not Sure, I Think So, Maybe, or Probably, then you need to get busy right now working on fixing that. You need to be totally sure where your Soul will spend eternity!” And AMEN goes right here….

Thought For Today – “Facing Your Weaknesses”
Good Morning Saints! How are you doing this morning, good I hope? It’s Monday, and I hope that you did something fun and or relaxing over the weekend? Me, I had some of my closest friends over to watch the boxing match and I must say that it did not disappoint! I hope that whatever you did this past weekend was fun and or relaxing! Let me pose a question to you, why is it so hard to face our weaknesses? And I’m talking to everyone, not just a handful of people. Everyone has weaknesses of some sort or another. Mine might not be the same as yours, but that does not change the fact that I do have some. It is with that train of thought, or line of thinking, that it was placed on my heart this morning to talk about “Facing Your Weaknesses.” And AMEN goes right here! Today’s subject title came from listening to Pastor Ron Carpenter’s message about “Why is my breakthrough taking so long?” His message dealt with the betrayal of Sampson by Delilah. If you would, turn in your Bibles to the book of Judges, chapter 16 and start with verse #16. In these verses, we learn about how Delilah pestered Sampson day in and day out about the secret to his great strength. The Bible goes on to say, that Sampson made the mistake of telling Delilah the secret to his strength was in his hair. Once Delilah heard this, the Bible says that she encouraged him to sleep on her lap, and then sent for someone to come and cut seven lochs of his hair. The Bible goes on to say, that once Sampson’s hair was cut, Delilah sent for the Philistines and then she began to torment him. In other words, after she was sure she had rendered Sampson powerless, she began to taunt him saying that the Philistines were coming to get him. Sampson not knowing that the Lord our God had departed him (meaning all the power God had blessed him with was gone), made the mistake of assuming that he was the source of his power not God. He rose up and proclaimed that he would go and deal with the Philistines just as he always had. Sampson quickly realized that his strength had left him. And AMEN goes right here too!
Pastor Carpenter made a few very deep cutting statements in his sermon. #1. Be very careful who you tell all your heart to, because not everyone who claims to be, or pretends to be your friend, is your true friend. #2. Be also very careful when you have friends who are embracing your enemies. #3. In the Sampson and Delilah story in the Bible, Delilah didn’t harm Sampson, however she was embracing the very enemies he had who eventually came in and convinced her to find out what the secret to his great strength was to use it against him. #4. We are supposed to live a life worthy of the calling God places over us. Some of you don’t understand that one do you? Let me break it down a little further……the HIGHER God elevates you in accordance to your calling, the smaller your boundaries will be. In other words, there is a “code of conduct” that has to accompany your calling. I’m not getting any AMENS on this left side of my virtual audience, so let me go over to the RIGHT side and see if I can get some AMENS over there…..In other words, God isn’t going to hold everyone accountable to the same code of conduct as he would people that he anoints or ordains to be His messengers. Still don’t get it huh……man, talk about a tough crowd up in here! Church congregations are NOT held to the same code of conduct as the Preacher’s in the pulpits, how’s that? Let me take it a step further, worldly folks aren’t going to be held to the same level of conduct as “Born Again Christians” are! Why? Because the “calling” God has placed over the “Born Again Christians” is way different than the worldly folks will have. Here’s a good spot to pause and ask a question, “what was Sampson’s big mistake when it came to his weaknesses?” He revealed his secrets to the one person he thought he could trust without a shadow of a doubt! The moral of that story, is that is isn’t always your enemies that will betray you. Sometimes the people you trust the most, will betray you just because of the way other people view or regard you. And again, AMEN goes right here!
Now, in getting evenmore deeper into the “Facing Your Weaknesses” subject, we look at how Sampson responded after he had been stripped of all his strength and power. At first, he failed to recognize that God had left him after his hair had been cut into the seven locks. Here’s another strong point that Pastor Crawford made that really stayed with me, “It’s NOT your strengths that will take you down, it’s your weaknesses! And it is commonplace to take our strengths and make them stronger, and to totally ignore our weaknesses.” Now I’m going to add a little bit to that statement by Pastor Carpenter. Everyone knows exactly what their weaknesses are, and yet they still will ignore them. God will even sometimes send people into your life, to who will highlight your weaknesses for you while you are in denial of them. Now watch this, while at the same time, elevating your strengths in an attempt to show you how much more you are capable of accomplishing if you were to address your weaknesses properly. Oh Lawdy, Lawd, they ain’t getting it Lord…..let me say it another way. Sometimes we will cross paths with a person(s), who will show us how successful we could be in life, and especially in reference to accomplishing great things in the name of Jesus Christ, if we just spend a little more time dealing with or “fine tuning” our weaknesses, as we do our strengths. Once your weaknesses have been properly identified, the next step in the process is to put together a plan of attack on how to deal with them. If you don’t ever address your weaknesses, they will plague you from time to time without warning, and usually when things are going good in your life. Look at Sampson for example? Here we have a ruler here who God had blessed with an amazing gift of strength and power. Now to throw a kink in the fictitious image that movie makers have placed in our heads of how Sampson looked, he was NOT built like the incredible Hulk! He was more built like barney Fife as Pastor Carpenter said. If not, why were the people always amazed at the great feats he accomplished? In other words, not very many people are going to question him carrying the gates of a city up the side of a steep mountain if he looked like the incredible Hulk are they? But if he looked like Barney Fife from the Andy Griffith show, then that is going to have people standing around in amazement. Now, in wrapping this thought up, it is very important that you remember that your walk with Christ is not going to be the same as mine. Your “code of conduct” based on YOUR calling in life is also going to be different than mine. The call on your life, will dictate the type of weaknesses you need to #1. Be knowledgeable of them. #2. Keep them in check. #3. Pay twice as much attention to them as your strengths. In order to be more successful in your calling. Can I leave you with a question to ponder today If I may?
“Are you spending your time dealing with your strengths, or your weaknesses?”
Can I Get An AMEN?
“Today, choose to “Ride or Die” with Jesus Christ! Afterall, He did just that for us!”
