(T.T.E.P) Thoughts For Today - "The Spirit of Conviction"

Morning Christian Words of Encouragement – “Are YOU 100% sure, that you are Saved and headed to Heaven when you die? Are you sure YOUR name IS written in the Heavenly “Book of Life?” Is there absolutely not a shadow of a doubt in your mind, that your Salvation is already secured and you’re just waiting on the good Lord to call you home to be with Him? If the answer is “No, Not Sure, I Think So, Maybe, or Probably, then you need to get busy right now working on fixing that. You need to be totally sure where your Soul will spend eternity!” And AMEN goes right here….

Thought For Today – “The Spirit of Conviction”
Good Morning Saints! How are you doing this morning, good I hope? I am doing GREAT this morning! Why you ask? Because today is my FRIDAY and the start of my vacation! I will be on vacation from tomorrow until July 10th! I am so excited! During this time, I will NOT be sharing my “Third Eye Perspective Thoughts For Today” except for maybe sporadically on Facebook, via some previous ones on my Devotional page. As always, if you are a Facebook member, you can go to my Devotional Page “The Third Eye Perspective Christian Spiritual Thoughts” and hit the “LIKE” button and you’ll be able to read every one I’ve posted over the past couple of years, as well as all of the new ones when I come back from vacation, and since setting that page up! If not, I’ll be back at it when I get back from vacation. Today’s subject came from listening to Pastor Ron Carpenter, who was preaching about “Overflow” in regards to the blessings received from Church Tithing. For those of you who are not familiar with the word “Tithing,” it is where you give God HIS 10% of your GROSS (not net, not left overs, but GROSS) earnings. My subject was just a snippet of his message. In this new age society of so many narcissists, the Christian common practice of “Self Conviction” seems to be an unheard of occurrence. It is with this train of thought, or line of thinking, that it was placed on my heart today to talk about “The Spirit of Conviction.” And AMEN definitely goes right here! In order to understand the principles of the word “Conviction,” I first need to define it. The definition of the word Conviction, is as follows : “A formal declaration that someone is guilty of a criminal offense, made by the verdict of a jury or decision of a judge in a court of law.”
Now, in Pastor Ron’s message, he told a story about how he went to a different Church to speak after being invited by that Church’s Pastor, who was a good friend of his. He told of how at this Church, they take up offering and then announce during the service how much was taken up. Now, at this particular service, there were approximately 2300 people present, and they took up $3300.00 . He said that right before he was to be announced after hearing how much offering and Tithes was taking up, God started to speak to him. Pastor Ron said the entire time he was being introduced, he was changing up the sermon he had prepared to preach, and pleading with God at the same time, not to make him say what He was commanding him to say. Long story short, God told him to go look out the window and call out the vehicles he saw in the parking lot. Reluctantly, he started to call out the cars he saw in the parking lot, Range Rovers, BMW’s, Lexus’, Mercedes Benz, Cadillac Escalades, Audi, Hummer, etc… then he turned and looked at the audience and said, “and ya’ll gave God $1.17 each? The “Spirit of Conviction” took over, and people started walking down to the front where Pastor Ron was and started laying $100’s bills down on the offering table and they took up the most offering that night that the Church has ever taken up. When you add “Self” to the word “Conviction,” that is the definition of the phrase “The Spirit of Conviction.” You see, from birth God placed this “Spirit of Conviction” inside each and every one of us. Some people call it a conscience, while others call it the Holy Spirit. It is that part of us, that God designed as a self “checks and balance” or reasoning, that when you know you’ve done wrong, it tells you to repent and or try and make it right with God first and foremost, but if it was against someone else, with that person too. However, some people choose to ignore this little voice inside them God designed to keep them from believing it is okay to do wrong without any repercussions! And AMEN goes here too!
When the “Spirit of Conviction” is in full effect, when you know you’ve done wrong, you will do everything in your power to make it right. However, when you suffer from the spirit of narcissism, you try to all blame for your failures on others, aka “It is never your fault.” Whereas “Conviction” results in us looking ourselves in the mirror, and realizing that WE are the source of our current life situation(s), not someone else. But a narcissist always has an excuse for why it is NOT their fault, and instead of seeing that positive changes needs to be made, as the “Spirit of Conviction” would encourage them , narcissists believe that everyone else needs to be doing the changing. If you go and read the book of 1 Corinthians 3 chapter, you learn where God deals with this type of evil spirit. It is God’s expectation, that “Born Again Christians” make every effort to frequently “Self-Convict” themselves, when they know they wrong in any of their dealings. When you don’t, and the longer you allow yourself to ignore The Holy Spirit (aka that little voice deep down inside of you), it results in God removing His Blessings from you and all those you are associated with. Because God doesn’t see just “one” person, He looks at us as one. That is why the Church is referred to as the “Body of Christ.” Look at the virtual person to your Left and to your Right and say “It’s not about you, it is about God!” Self-Conviction will have you falling down on your knees, and asking God to forgive you for your Sins, and also your trespasses against your fellow man. Narcissism will have you paranoid that everyone is plotting against you, talking about you, trying to manufacture your downfall, to the point that you can’t sleep at night from wondering, worrying, and over-analyzing every scenario of your life, nor function during the day. Once you have addressed the issues, that “The Spirit of Conviction” presented to you God’s way, your conscience will be free and clear, and you can sleep just fine at night. I know I sleep just fine actually. I never lay my head down without asking for forgiveness for any sin I’ve committed nor any trespass against my fellow man I’m guilty of! God never intended the “Spirit of Conviction” to be ignored! However, the confusion comes in when God expects US to self-convict ourselves when we do wrong, so that He doesn’t have to! Remember, He is a God of FREE CHOICE, but don’t be fooled, if you ignore your “Spirit of Conviction” too long, God will do just that. If you read 1 Corinthians 3, you’ll see what I mean. It states that He will come down and deal with you personally Himself, when you have ignored your Spirit of Conviction for too long and it has gotten too far out of hand! Can I leave you with a question to ponder today if I may?
“How Strong Is YOUR Spirit of Conviction?”
Can I Get An AMEN???
