Morning Thoughts For Today :
“A Devil In Disguise...”
Good morning Saints! How are you and yours doing, good and Blessed I hope? I have a question for you, when you think of the "Devil," most people have a preconceived perception that He looks like the Hollywood version, Gargoyle-ish, with horns and a tail, with long clawlike finger and toenails, eyes that glow and an eerie deep, very scary voice. But what if I were to tell you that perception of what the Devil looks like when He comes a callin on you, is totally FALSE! What if I were to tell you that when Satan comes to tempt you He comes disguised as everything you've ever wanted in life.....a very attractive and seductive significant other if your single, (or even if you're already married), or an opportunity to make a ton of easy money, that your gut is telling you the whole time is "too good to be true?"I mean He is wrapped up in the best wrapping paper and with a big RED bowtie on top. Think about that, and let it marinade on your minds' tastebuds for a second before I drop some shocking (or not so shocking lol)......revelations on you!
Ok here we go, are you ready for this "shocking revelation" I mentioned? Here it is, "Why would Satan (aka the Devil) come to you in His natural form?" How stupid would that be on His part? When instead, He can come to us dressed (or wrapped) in the most attractive disguise. Common sense tells us that the Devil isn't that stupid. He knows also what our desires (worldly ones) are, so that gives Him all the "insider trading" info He needs to plan exactly how to attack us most effectively! And let's not forget, Satan was once the most regarded Angel in Heaven! He was in charge over or known as what we call the "Minister of Music" before His fall from Grace! So you have to assume that He has at least some knowledge of how God thinks when it comes to us. However, even with that inside information, the Devil is only successful when we "invite him in"! God gave each and everyone of us the power to make the Devil flee (aka run the "hell" away from us) when Jesus came down and claimed victory in ver the grave, and dying on the cross for all of our sins. And by confidently proclaiming "GET THEE BEHIND ME SATAN, IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS CHRIST,” aka rebuking him. BUT, what if lets say he don’t “buke” when we do that? Hmnnnnnnnnnn, is it possible that what you might be blaming on the devil is your own fault? Ohhhh, let me leave that one alone, that one will make somebody mad and get them all up in their feelings! Thats a message for another day lol! Let me get back to my message for today...
Thats pretty simple isn't it? The most important fact we need to be reminded of about the Devil is that He CAN'T force us to do anything we don't want to do! God made sure of that, again when he sent Jesus to die on the cross for us! No, Satan's tactics are of the sneaky kind, He uses temptation with our favorite guilty pleasures to get us to invite Him in! And it has been that way since the beginning of time! Think back to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, Satan didn't come in the demon form did He? No! He came in the form of a serpent, which you and I would assume it is "normal" for it (Garden if Eden) being similiar to a forrest or jungle to have serpents (aka snakes) crawling around. All the Devil did was plant a seed in Eve's mind that "IF" you eat of the fruit. He didn't trick Eden, twist her arm, nor did He threaten her. He simply said "IF" you want to have all the knowledge God has, know all the secrets of creation, be a true "know-it-all" or an equal TO yup you guessed it GOD , then all you have to do is eat the fruit off the forbidden tree". How ironic is it that women today are sometimes teased (kiddingly) for always acting like or wanting to be "know-it-alls" lol! Could it be that is where that joke originated from? Be careful when something appears to be "too good to be true", it just might be the Devil in disguise"!!!!
Can I get an Amen?????
