The Third Eye Perspective:
By Carlos C. Brown
Thought For Today – “God Does NOT Treat Us As Our Sins Deserve…”
When we “sin,” God has the option to hand down punishment that “fits the crime” so to speak, but that’s not the way He operates. Let me repeat that one more time just in case it didn’t sink in. I said, God HAS the power or “option” to hand down punishments when we sin that “fits the crime.” For example, if you murder someone, God has the power to allow someone to bring your life to an end, IF He so chose to. If you commit adultery, fornication, and or basically break ANY of His 10 Commandments, God has the power and the “option” to punish you according to the crime (or sin) you committed. If you rob someone, God has the power to allow you to be robbed. If you gossiped about someone, God has the power and the “option” to allow you to be gossiped about. If you stab someone in the back (figuratively speaking), God has the power and the “option” to fix it so that you get stabbed in the back in return. If you were to be found “guilty” of playing Church, being a Christian, etc…, God has the power and the “option” to revoke your Christian membership card. Let those examples resonate on your mind and especially in your heart, before you read this next sentence. It is with his train of thought, or line of thinking, that it was placed on my heart this morning to talk about, “God Does NOT Treat Us As Our “Sins” Deserve.” And AMEN goes right here! I could stop right here and this message would Preach itself depending on if you are already saved or not? IF you confess those sins and ask for His forgiveness and try everything in your power NOT to repeat the offense, God WILL forgive you. Of course it has been clearly established that if you keep committing the same sins over and over again, that you have no choice but to be perceived by God as NOT being sorry or remorseful, for them and sincere change is not in your heart. God knows we are not perfect, what you didn’t realize God was onto your charade of acting like you were “perfect” to everyone??? PLEASE, you may fool some people (or maybe not even those you THINK are fooling) but you won’t fool all of those people you think you have fooled. And you will NEVER fool God, because He sees EVERYTHING you do whether in the daylight or the dark! Now let THAT resonate on your mind as well, because that should literally scare the “Hell” out of you….And AMEN goes right here too!
Because I like to look at things from a “Third Eye Perspective,” and sometimes I even try to go the extra mile to let my perspectives jump out at you to get the points across, let’s just break down how bad it would be if God punished us according to our sins? What if, and think about this one for a minute, but WHAT IF God had just wiped Satan and those Heavenly angels turned demons, that rebelled with him, out after Satan rebelled against God? How different would the world be today? What if God had chosen to wipe Adam and Eve out for disobeying Him in the Garden of Eden and just decided “Nevermind, I am not going to create a human race because apparently they just aren’t going to do anything but cause Me grief?” Or, let say He decided “well that didn’t go according to how I had imagined it would, so let me destroy those two and start over again?” How about when Cain slew his brother Abel, what if God decided “Cain, since you have committed the first murder in humanity, I strike you down right where you stand” and Cain falls down dead in his footsteps? What if God in His angered state or moment just before sending the “40 days and 40 nights of rain” that flooded the earth before starting over on humanity, He included Noah and his family as well as all the pairs of animals too? With it being “God,” He could have easily started completely over from scratch right? Let’s come closer to home or “this day and age,” WHAT IF all the monsters that commit crimes suddenly just disappeared from the face of the earth never to be seen again, unless you were unfortunate enough to end up in Hell? I mean seriously, what if say child molesters, murderers, satanic cults, racists people (of any race), and all the violent criminals, all just immediately received the most severe punishment possible (removable from earth) when they committed a crime? Now, let’s put YOU and I one trial, WHAT IF everytime someone committed a “sin,” that person immediately suffered a punishment from God that matched the “sin” that was committed? You know the most common ones, like what I mentioned earlier above, but how about this one “ANYTHING YOU PUT IN FRONT OF GOD AS IN WORSHIPPING IT?” Money, People, Power, Sex, Worry (yes you can put worrying about your problems, your “I don’t have this or that”, Trying to keep up with the Joneses,” etc. before God and it is like worshipping a different God whether you intend it that way or not)??? Now imagine if God punished you to be cursed with the opposite of those things you have blocking your view of God because you are so focused on those things???? I think you get my point so I’ll wrap this up…
Some people don’t realize how fortunate they really are in that God Does Not Treat Us As Our “Sins” Deserve”! He gives us what is known as “Grace and Mercy,” in that He knows we are going to make mistakes, we ARE NOT perfect in any way, and that we ARE going to sin and fall short of that Grace! So He has compassion for us, but only IF we repent for our sins wholeheartedly! The key word in that sentence besides REPENT is “wholeheartedly.” Like I said above, if you ask for forgiveness for your sins and then keep committing that very same sin over and over then God has a hard time believing that you are really sorry for it! Although the Bible says that He will forgive us of our sins 7 x 77 times A DAY, if we repent, do you really want to test His patience with repeating the same mistake over and over? He could very easily just remove His protection from over your life and allow certain things to happen that you would have normally been protected from with the covering of the Blood of Jesus Christ. Hypocrisy is one of the main faults of the human race. A lot of us say one thing and do another, because we think people really don’t know what we are really like. As I said before, you might succeed in fooling a handful of people, but the masses won’t be fooled for long, and God will NEVER be fooled by your actions because He sees all and knows all. He sees the true intentions of our heart, and that is one thing that is hard to hide. The question I would like to leave you with today to answer for yourself, not me (I’m busying already answering it for myself currently lol) but yourself, is :
If God were to treat you “as your “sins” deserved, how would you fare based on the punishment for those crimes???? Can I get an AMEN???
“Today, choose to “Ride or Die” with Jesus Christ! Afterall, isn’t that EXACTLY what HE did for US on the Cross?”
