Good Morning Peeps! How are you doing this Tuesday morning, good I hope? Are you having a good work week so far, I sure hope so? Have a good and very Blessed day today! - May God Bless You and Yours In 2018 and Beyond!!! - “Are YOU 100% sure, that you are Saved and headed to Heaven when you die? Are you sure YOUR name IS written in the Heavenly “Book of Life?” Is there absolutely not a shadow of a doubt in your mind, that your Salvation is already secured and you’re just waiting on the good Lord to call you home to be with Him? If the answer is “No, Not Sure, I Think So, Maybe, or Probably, then you need to get busy right now working on fixing that. You need to be totally sure where your Soul will spend eternity!” And AMEN goes right here….

Thought For Today – “God’s Anointing Makes The “Anointed” Seem Supernatural.”
Hello there again Saints! I would like to start this devotional off with a Bible verse (Chronicles 16: 21-22 verse) “He allowed no one to oppress them; He rebuked kings on their account, saying, “Touch not My anointed ones, do my prophets no harm!” It is with this train of thought, or line of thinking, that it was placed on my heart this morning to talk about, “God’s Anointing Makes The “Anointed” Seem Supernatural.” And AMEN goes right here! Now, by a show of virtual hands, how many of you in my audience have ever looked at someone who just seemed to gifted and talented an just about everything they did that is literally made you envious of them? Come on now, don’t be too embarrassed to raise your hands now! And in reality, it doesn’t have to be that they are gifted in multiple different things, they might just have one skill that they are very, VERY good at and almost so good that they can do it successfully with little to no effort? I have known some very gifted people in my day, and still continue to meet evenmore gifted ones. My late cousin Dandra Thomas was one of those people, she could sing like a bird with little to no effort at all. I can remember watching her play in the Arkansas High School All-Star game at the University of Central Arkansas’ (UCA) Farris Center years ago. She was asked to sing the National Anthem, and the crowd gave her a prolonged standing ovation that almost delayed the start of the game. One of the most overwhelming (in a good way) feelings I had while in Church in my younger days, was hearing her sing in Church! And when she sang “My Soul Has Been Anchored In The Lord” at my grandparents 50th Anniversary celebration, it brought me chills! She had been compared many times to the great Whitney Houston in her celebrity sound alike voice! Oh I’m not done with you, she was also to this day, one of the top basketball players to ever come out of the state of Arkansas as well! I remember playing her one on one, and I literally had to play her as if I was playing another guy, she was THAT good! Nope, I’m still not done with you, she could play the piano by ear, and if my memory serves me correctly, she taught herself to play! Sadly, she was taken from us way too soon in an auto accident not two miles from her home. The thing about God’s anointing, is that when we are born again, we all have the anointing placed within us. However, not everyone will take the time to discover, or tap into it, and then develop it as God intends.
I have bragged on my son Dawson many times over the years, in that he seems to be a very sharp kid, well “young man” now as he would say LOL! He will always be my “little man” despite him being very close to looking me eye to eye and I’m 6’5 ½” tall! I firmly believe that Dawson has been anointed also to do great things in his future. Everything just seems to come really easy with him! It started when he was about 3-4 years old and would actually read portions of the Bible. He would have trouble reading the hard to pronounce words, but other than that seem to read it pretty easily. It didn’t take long to realize that he was a walking sponge! He read pretty much every book in every daycare he has ever been too! The compliments we received on how he would just sit in a corner and read every book they had, then take a break every now and then to play with the toy trucks and cars and tractors they had at the daycare. He went on to being so advanced in even the early years of school, that he was placed in the “Gifted and Talented” program, and then on to Advanced Placement courses all throughout is latter years in school. He made a “30” on his ACT test the first time he took it, and as a Freshman in college has already made the Presidential Scholars list twice, finishing his first year up with a perfect 4.0 GPA. He informed me that he too wanted to write a book and that he had already started and that it should be finished before the start of his upcoming sophomore year in August! I almost, notice I said “almost” wish I could push the fast forward button to see the great things he will accomplish in the future! I guess while I’m talking about “anointed” people, I might as well throw myself in the mix. Those that have known me all my life, have found it very shocking that I actually write these “Thoughts For Today” myself LOL! And believe me, I too find it pretty shocking at that fact too. Nobody, not even me knew I had such a deep and creative side to me. I am being totally 100% honest when I say, that I put forth very little effort if any at all in writing these Devotionals. And as I have stated before, determining the subject title for them is the hardest part! Once the good Lord places a subject on my heart to speak about, the body or “meat” of the message just flows out of me. Including a Biblical verse that goes with them when I have included them. There can’t be any other explanation other than it is “God’s Anointing!” And AMEN goes right here!
Let’s look at some Biblical personnel who had God’s anointing and how they used it. The first that comes to mind, would have to be Lucifer, who was the most highly regarded angel in Heaven at one time! He was the minister over praise and worship in Heaven. However, he developed the spirit of self-pride, and started to view himself as being equal to God. He then started a rebellion in Heaven, along with 1/3 of the other angels in Heaven. God quickly dispatched His other 2/3 of angels to put this rebellion to an end, and then cast Lucifer out of Heaven. The next person I would like to name, would be Adam. When God created Adam, He also created a perfect dwelling place, The Garden of Eden for which Adam and his helpmate Eve would dwell in. God placed His “anointing” inside Adam making him ruler over the Garden, and responsible for naming every living thing (animal, plant, etc…) on earth. Of course I can’t mention “anointed” people from the Bible without mentioning David! A young shepherd boy who would be anointed at the new future King of Israel. David is known for slaying the giant Goliath in battle when he was just a young teenager with a sling and three smooth stones. It takes true “Anointing” to accomplish what David accomplished. Next on my list was Moses, oh you have to remember Moses right? As a baby he escaped the massacre of all of the male Hebrew babies by being placed in a basket and placed in a river. He was found by an Egyptian girl and raised as an Egyptian. He supposedly had a speech impediment, but is noted as one of the most important people in the Bible. You see, Moses was “anointed’ to be a messenger for God to the people of Israel. He is also the one who led the Israelites out of Egypt and all the way up to the banks of the Red Sea. God blessed Moses with His anointing that allowed him to part the Red Sea, and also to receive the 10 Commandments up on Mount Sinai to share with the Israelites when they entered into a new covenant with Him. The last one I’ll mention, is none other than Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. He had the “anointing” placed on Him from His birth, and when He was old enough to understand His purpose in life, He started using His anointing to heal the sick, raise the dead, make the blind see, the mute or dumb as they are referred to, talk. Not only that, but He would go on to die on an old rugged Cross on a hill called Calvary for the sins of the world. Not His, but the whole world sins. You see, Jesus was perfect, He had no sin in Him. His anointing was never used for anything bad or evil, but always for good. There is a very good lesson to learn about our “anointing” we have inside of us. Can I leave you with a question to ponder today if I may?
“What Are You Doing To Develop Your Anointing?” Can I get an AMEN????
“Today, choose to “Ride or Die” with Jesus Christ! Afterall, isn’t that exactly what He did for us on the Cross?”
