Good Morning Peeps! How are you doing this Friday morning, good I hope? Did you have a good work week, I sure hope so? Well the weekend is here and I hope that you have something fun or relaxing planned? Have a good and very Blessed Weekend. - May God Bless You and Yours In 2018 and Beyond!!! - “Are YOU 100% sure, that you are Saved and headed to Heaven when you die? Thought For Today – “The Seed Determines The Harvest.”
Hello again, how many of you are liking the weather finally starting to act or turn “Springish?” Yes, I do know that isn’t a real word, but you get my drift right? I am starting to see new life sprouting all over God’s creation giving off the impression that Spring is just round the corner. I know it sure is a lot more tolerable doing my track work when the temps are warmer than colder. However, I’ve been out there even when the temps were cold trying to “get it in” as the old saying goes. As I have stated before, I am really looking forward to Spring, because I can start planting my mini garden in my back yard. I have some very good and fertile soil in my garden boxes, and I’m looking very forward to some fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, peppers, and maybe even some strawberries or watermelons. Okay, okay, okay, let me get into this devotional for today. Today’s message hit me as I was listening to Pastor Ron Carpenter’s series on “Under the Influence” part #13. In this series where he’s talking about the story of Ruth and Boaz. In this message he was speaking about the things that we allow to get inside us and how it affects us either positively or negatively. So with that train of thought, or line of thinking, it was placed on my heart this morning to talk about “The Seed Determines The Harvest.” And THAT my brothers and sisters will PREACH right there! And AMEN goes right here! Now pastor Carpenter stated, that a seed can only produce after itself, because they have a specific or unique genetic code in each of them. In other words, an apple tree can only produce apples, or a fig tree can only produce figs, or a tomato plant can only produce tomatoes, and so on and so forth. You can’t plant a potato seeds and get watermelons, that just isn’t possible because the watermelon genetic makeup or codes aren’t the same as those of a potato. Now stay with me on this, because you know me, I will throw a curve ball on you in a heartbeat LOL! Mainly, because I know some of you are going to strike out! It’s going to go way over your heads in other words. Don’t feel bad, being honest here I’ve had it happen to me too when God places these messages on my heart! It isn’t until I go back and re-read them checking for errors that I will realize I missed the whole point the first time, because I was too distracted in writing it.
Now I hope there are at least a handful of farmers out in my virtual audience of loyal readers? Oh wow! A whole lot of hands when up in the air, that’s awesome! Okay so let me speak to my farmers out there with the green thumbs. For the ones who doesn’t know very much or anything at all about gardening or farming, you have to have “fertile” soil in order for the seeds that you plant to produce a good crop. Nowadays, when you have not so fertile ground, you have to add some “fertilizer” in with those seeds to ensure that they seeds have a fighting chance at not only survival, but to produce a bountiful crop. Now the soil as Pastor Carpenter stated, does NOT care about what type of seed is dropped in it. It is the soil’s job to birth life out of whatever seed that is dropped in it. He said “it takes the DNA of that seed, and produces whatever it was that was in the seeds NDA and births life out of it. And of course the seed/soil will need nourishment (rain, and fertilizer) of some sort if the soil is not very rich in nutrients. Now what some farmers in today’s society does after the seed has grown thru the soil and have grown to a certain stage, come in using either special vehicles or crop dusters to spray either liquid fertilizer, or herbicides on the plants to give them additional nutrients or for keeping insects from eating them. This gives the crops an even higher chance of surviving and producing. Of course, if you either have too much rain (aka flooding) or not enough rain (aka drought) then that seeds chances of producing to its maximum capabilities will shrink down to pretty much nothing or zero. The seed/sprouted plant/fully mature plant also needs plenty of Sunlight also. Side note: Some scientists believe, that when all of the dinosaurs went extinct, that it was a result of lack of sunlight caused by a large meteor hitting the earth and causing the entire planet to go into a dark age where the sunlight was blocked off by a dust cloud that covered the earth’s atmosphere. As you know, lack of abundant sunlight is also bad for humans as well as plant life too. The suns purpose, well one of the main ones, it to heat up the earth and give off radiation. Okay, okay, so now you know all the things that a seed needs to birth into a living and believe it or not, breathing plant, that will bear sometype of fruit or vegetable, or maybe depending on the type of seed planted, some sort of flow.
CURVEBALL TIME! If you would, turn with me into your Bibles to Proverbs 4:23 verse. It reads as follows, “Keep your heart with all diligence. For out of it spring the issues of life.” Look at your neighbor on the LEFT and repeat after me, “Neighbor, Bro Carlos is about to hit you with a very fast and hard curveball!” Now look at the person on your RIGHT and say the same thing. Now, here’s the curveball I promised……..Your HEART is the soil that I have been talking about all this time! And the “Seed” that I have been talking about from Pastor Carpenter’s message, is God’s word! Ahhhhhhhhhh, I see now that the light is going on in a lot of people’s heads! Now you are starting to put two and two together and coming up with four! You see, I have been telling you on multiple occasions that the whole Bible is filled with symbolisms because God wants us to put forth some real effort to learn about and seek the Kingdom of Heaven. He doesn’t want it so accessible for the common passerby, because they won’t appreciate it as much as a person who has truly searched it out, and delve head first into it. I see some puzzled faces out in my virtual audience…..you appear to be having a little trouble wrapping your mind (remember that word “mind” for future reference) around this scenario or thought process of our hearts being soil, and God’s word being the seeds to be planted in that soil, in order to produce the DNA (God’s DNA) after itself. Question, by a show of hands, how many of you go to Church every Sunday and or even everytime basically the doors are open? Hey, I am very impressed, a lot more than I thought has their hands up! Now another question, how many of you reads your Bible EVERY day? Ohhhhhhhhh, not so many hands when up on that question. So let me get this straight, you are going to Church everytime the doors are open, a lot of you are, but you are not reading your Bibles everyday? Here’s what that fact is telling me. That you are solely dependent on your Church Pastor to feed you the Word of God? How do you know that He (or She in this day and age) is telling you the truth if you don’t go back and study and compare what they told you? You are basically just taking their word for it that they are going to Preach the truth. That is pretty reckless if you ask me! Okay here’s the point I am trying to make in all of this……You are warned by even the Bible to guard your heart because that is where any and all of our “actions” are birthed. So with that beings said, you could literally go to Church everytime the door are open, and leave out of there with God’s Holy Word in your mind, but your “mind” is NOT the soil in which the Word was planted in! I know, I know, I know, you are asking, “well then how do I get the Word that was placed on my “mind” to be planted into my heart?” I’m very glad you asked, because the answer to that question has been in the Bible the entire time. God’s word says we have to “meditate” on the Word (aka read it and then repeat it over and over) until it is a permanent fixture in our hearts. In other words, if you block all of the negative things, foul and even evil things, from ever getting into your mind, and feed your mind an overabundance of God’s Holy Word, those seeds with birth Life (Eternal Life In Heaven for those of you who might not have put that together yet) like God being that it is His DNA that is in His Holy Word! Can I leave you with a question to ponder today if I may?
“What Kind of Seeds Are You Planting In Your Soil?” Can I get an AMEN?????
“Today, choose to “Ride or Die” with Jesus Christ! Afterall, isn’t that exactly what He did for us on the Cross at Calvary?”
