Good Morning Saints! How are you doing this morning, good I hope? Are you having a good work week so far, I sure hope so? Have a good and very BLESSED Thursday and rest of the week too! May God Bless You and Yours in 2018 and Beyond! - “Are YOU 100% sure, that you are Saved and headed to Heaven when you die? Are you sure YOUR name IS written in the Heavenly “Book of Life?” Is there absolutely not a shadow of a doubt in your mind, that your Salvation is already secured and you’re just waiting on the good Lord to call you home to be with Him? If the answer is “No, Not Sure, I Think So, Maybe, or Probably, then you need to get busy right now working on fixing that. You need to be totally sure where your Soul will spend eternity!” And AMEN goes right here….

The Third Eye Perspective:

Thought For Today – “I’ll Go, Even If I Have To Go By Myself…”
By a show of virtual hands, how many of you my faithful readers of the “Third Eye Perspective Christian Thoughts For Today” devotionals, tend to be a little afraid of going certain places by yourself? Either you are scared to go, or just feel uncomfortable to go, or maybe you just don’t want to go by yourself? Come on now, nobody is judging you here, I am only asking just to get an idea of how relative that is to my message today? I see a few hands over there on the right side, a few more over on the left side, oh there’s quite a few up in the back and up in the balcony rows too! (virtually of course for kicks and giggles). Well don’t be ashamed of putting your hands up, there is nothing wrong with that fact, like I said it was just for observation purposes nothing more. It is with this train of thought, or line of thinking, that it was placed on my heart this morning to talk about, “I’ll Go, Even If I Have To Go All By Myself.” And AMEN goes right here! I could Preach a whole sermon on just that one sentence, “IF” I was a Preacher. Wink wink…This one came to me last night, as lay in my bed trying to muster up some sleep before coming back into work after being sore all over from starting back to work out again. Why this particular thought not only popped in my head, but for whatever reason, wouldn’t leave me alone nomatter how hard I tried. So apparently, someone needs to hear this message today. The subject is also a Gospel song, stating that basically, “I’ll go on serving the Lord God in Heaven, even if I have to serve Him, all by myself” and it means just that. There comes a time in each and every one of our lives, when we have to make that decision. We might fear the unknown of where that road or journey might take us, but we still have to go anyways. And this could pertain to just about any decision in our lives, ranging from an early baby of having to go to the bathroom by themselves, to a high school senior on which college they want to attend, to a college graduate deciding which job to take. And it could also be describing a person deciding to follow Christ when everyone around them is trying to discourage them. And let’s be honest here, part of the reason a lot of people fear “going” or deciding to follow Jesus Christ, If it means they have to go by themselves,” is because a lot of, or all of their so-called “supporting cast” has told them “you can’t, you won’t, you ain’t, you don’t”, and you bought into it. Am I right? Of course I am, because I still experience it myself to this very day! If I had a dollar for home many times I have been criticized for trying, no BEING a messenger for Jesus Christ because I’m not “Perfect,” I would be a very wealthy man! But why? Why do we let people tell us what we can’t do, when God has told us we can do “A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G” in life if we put Him first?
Well here’s my take on it for what it’s worth. When you get it set in your mind, that you want to accomplish something in life, and your so-called “supporting cast members” start talking negative to you, trying to convince you of why you can’t, won’t, or ain’t going to be successful at it, you have to evaluate #1. WHY they are telling you that? Is it because they themselves have never accomplished anything worth wild and so they don’t want to see you succeed either, in order to keep you (in their mind) on the same level as they are? #2. The character of people who are telling you that? In other words, like I said in #1, what does their resume look like for accomplish difficult tasks? How successful have they been in their lives? Are they known for finishing things they start, or are they known as quitters? #3. The MOTIVES behind why they are telling you that? Again, is their motive for tell you that you can’t accomplish anything because they haven’t? Or is it because they are jealous of your determination to accomplish your goals and dreams? There has to be some motive for them telling you that you can’t do it. You need to figure out why and what it is, because it may just show you that you need to cut those people out of your life, or at the very least, place them at a distance so that they aren’t successful at distracting you from your focus of reaching your goals and dreams. #4. What have these people accomplished in their lives that qualifies them to tell YOU what you can’t do? Again, going back to the statement about the critic’s resume or track record of accomplishments. ARE THEY QUALIFIED to tell you anything by their resume? #5. If you should be giving these people this much power over you and your life and even your future? Of course the answer is NO. God is the only one who should be allowed to close doors that need closing, not your critics! Here is what would be the best example of the subject title/heading, when Noah was instructed by God to be the great Ark because of the impending flood that would cover the entire earth. If you don’t know the story of Noah and the great Ark, turn in your Bibles to Genesis 5:32- Genesis 10:1. This story will freak some of you out. Number one, because the Bible states that Noah was 500 years old! Number two, because He preached the same sermon (It’s Gonna Rain”) for 100 consecutive years before the rains came. Think about that, how would you like to go to Church every Sunday hearing the same sermon over and over and over again for 100 years! Heck most people wouldn’t go back to the same Church if they preached the same sermon for the same week or month. LOL! The Third reason this story will freak some of you out, is because Noah came under extreme ridicule for building this great Ark by the outsider circle of people in his town. People came from all over just to ridicule him about build the Ark and believing that it was going to rain so much that such a great ship was needed just to survive it. However, Noah made the decision that he and his immediate family were going to do it anyways. And not only that, but that they were going to live by God’s Covenant and Commandments (aka Rules or Laws) also. Oh but then God showed up just like He promised…..”But God, But God, But God, But God,” just like He promised to send the rain, it came! The Bible says that “The Heavens opened up and flooded the earth with rain for forty days and forty nights until every bit of land was covered in water.” All of those naysayers, don’t look so smart now do they? I bet they weren’t laughing then when it started to rain were they? The Bible says that they all rushed to where Noah’s great Ark was banging on the doors begging him to let them in to be rescued from the floods. But they all drowned because of their sin….and AMEN goes right here!
Now that should be enough criteria to base your decision on although I could increase the length of this list easily. Nomatter lonely it seems, or how difficult the journey looks, or how intimidating it seems, only you and God can honestly make the decision to go, even if you have to go all by yourself!
So let’s address these one by one ok? #1. WHY are the people you trust the most telling you that you can’t, ain’t, or won’t do what you have your mind set to do? If what your doing is a bad thing, drugs, crime, etc.. then their opinion is in your best interest. BUT, if what you are trying to do is of the positive nature, better your education, find a new job, a new significant other, clean up your life if you’ve been living a life full of sin, and last but not least, rededicate your life to Jesus Christ, then you really need to question the reason why they are trying to stop you? The only logical explanation would be jealousy, envy, aka “hateration” as it is known in the Hip Hop community. #2.The CHARACTER of the people who are part of your so-called “supporting cast members”. If they are of good or great character then you know that everything they tell you, right or wrong is meant for your better good. However, if you know these people (one or all) to be of questionable character, whether naturally or just at given times, then you have to sincerely take that into consideration when you evaluate WHY they are telling you that you can’t, ain’t, or won’t do it? #3. The MOTIVES behind why they are telling you that you won’t accomplish anything you set out to accomplish. We’ve already discussed their Character, so you basically can take from that and determine the MOTIVES behind why. Is it because they know something you don’t know? Or is their MOTIVATION because they don’t want you to have more success than they have? There are some people who are very close to you who really DON’T want to see you experience any success because they don’t want you to do better than they are, accomplish more than they do, get more recognition than they have or will get? Better figure out their MOTIVES before trusting them too much. #4. What have these people (your supporting cast members) accomplished in their lives that qualified them to tell you what you can or can’t do? Now if it is your parents, that one goes without saying that they have that right! They created you so therefore they can feel justified in giving you advice. But if they aren’t your parents that are telling you this, what qualifies them to be “experts” on knowing what your capabilities are? FYI, the only person capable of giving them the “expertise” needed to make such an assumption is God and those that know God, knows He doesn’t do that. So let me ask you why you are listening to someone who has not, is not, will not, cannot ever be an “expert” over you? #5. Why do these people (your supporting cast members) think you should be giving them that much power over your life? What have they done for you? What have they done “TO” you? And most importantly, what will they do for you, to you, in the future? When it comes go have to “go even if you have to go all by yourself” these are the things or some of the more important things that you need to evaluate about the people who are telling you that you can’t, ain’t or won’t do it! Can I leave you with a question to ponder today if I may?
“Are YOU Willing To Go, Even If You Have To Go All By Yourself?” Can I Get An AMEN Church?
"A Setback, is just a "Setup", for a great comeback. So let go, and let God have His way!"
Today, choose to “Ride or Die” with Jesus Christ! Afterall, isn’t that exactly what He did for us on the Cross?”
