“Are YOU 100% sure, that you are Saved and headed to Heaven when you die? Are you sure YOUR name IS written in the Heavenly “Book of Life?” Is there absolutely not a shadow of a doubt in your mind, that your Salvation is already secured and you’re just waiting on the good Lord to call you home to be with Him? If the answer is “No, Not Sure, I Think So, Maybe, or Probably, then you need to get busy right now working on fixing that. You need to be totally sure where your Soul will spend eternity!” And AMEN goes right here….

Thought For Today – “Failure To Plan, Is A Plan For Failure!”
Good Morning Peeps! How are you doing this morning, good I hope? Are you having a good work week so far? This first month of 2018 is drawing quickly to a close! I hope yours has been a good one? I was listening to Pastor Ron Carpenter, and he made a statement that really blew me away in his sermon in talking about Trouble. In his message, he was talking about how we should all be prepared for anything but trying to plan ahead. His statement was, “Your Next Trouble vs Your Last Trouble.” In that, he talked about how Noah spent a very long time building the great Ark that God instructed him to build. But the crazy part about it, is that he built that Ark in the time when the seasons were calm. Another example he gave, was when Moses’ mother placed him in a basket and then on the river in hopes that he would escape the impending decree that all new male babies would be put to death out of fear that one of them was the King of the Jews. In both of these examples, Noah and Moses’ mother planned ahead of the disasters that were to affect their lives in a major way! My childhood best friend, who just happens to also be my first cousin also, made a statement to me the other day when we were on our way to a basketball game to watch two of my former players that went, “Failure to Plan, Is Planning To Fail.” That Statement stuck with me and has been popping up at random times in my mind. So without further ado, it has been placed on my heart this morning to talk about “Failure To Plan, Is Planning To Fail.” And AMEN goes right there! Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you with a bowed down head and a very humbled heart, asking that you Bless me to relay this message as clearly and efficiently as you would have me to for complete and total understanding. In Your Sweet Darling Son Jesus Christ name, AMEN!!!
In trying to better understand what my subject today is really about, I would like to define the word “Plan,” – a detailed proposal for doing or achieving something. An attention or decision about what one is going to do.” Now that we have defined that action word “Plan,” we can apply what we’ve learned it means, to the subject heading. Okay, by a show of virtual hands, how many of you actually practice the process of planning your future steps? Now I don’t mean just for the next day, but I mean weeks, months, and maybe even years in advance? Let’s see, I see a few hands up over there on the Left side, oh wait, there are quite a few more up over there on the Right side. I see quite a few more up in the back and also up in the balcony. Tell me something, how is that planning working out for you? I would be willing to bet, that although you are experiencing some frustrations with your plans am I right? Despite that fact, it is still way more beneficial to us if we do try to plan our lives best we can, and especially to try and be prepared for some of life’s curveballs, fast balls, and surprises. Let’s look at some instances of Biblical days where “Failure To Plan,” resulted in “A Plan For Failure.” The very first example would have to be when Satan was still the most highly regarded Angel in Heaven known as Lucifer. (read Ezekiel 28:14) In this example, we have an Angel whose sole purpose was to dwell eternally in the throne room of Heaven, in the very presence of God. But where Lucifer messed up in his planning, was that he became way too full of himself to the point of feeling he should be regarded in the same light as God Himself. He didn’t plan for what God would do to him when he (Lucifer) acted on those thoughts of selfishness. Well if you know the story, Lucifer was kicked out of Heaven along with 1/3 of the Angels he had convinced to rebel on his behalf. The next example that comes to mind, is when Adam and Eve had just been created by God, along with the Garden of Eden paradise. (read the book of Genesis). In this example, we learn that God gave Adam the power and ability to be just like Him. Whatever he spoke from his mouth it would become reality. He gave him the responsibility to name all the animals and plants on the earth, and Adam also had the power to speak and create like God did. But Adam apparently did not plan ahead for what would happen if He or Eve were to eat of the forbidden tree. He didn’t have any plan in place to prevent this from happening, and when it did, he nor Eve were prepared for what the fallout was from that huge mistake. If you don’t know the story, it turned out very bad for them, as they were kicked out of the Garden of Eden.
Along with being kicked out of the Garden of Eden, their punishment also consisted of Adam having to work very hard planting his food crops, and Eve having to endure very intense pain during child birth. Their eyes were also opened which resulted in them realizing they were naked and they felt ashamed so they made clothing out of fig leaves. The next example I could offer, is the story of Cain and Able, Adam and Eve’s sons. They went into different fields of work with Able being a shepherd, and Cain being a crop farmer. They both wanted to present offerings to God as they were raised to do. However, Cain didn’t pay attention to the plan set in place by Abel. When it came time to present their sacrifices to God, Cain brought some of his crop to offer the Lord. But Abel on the otherhand, presented some of his firstlings to the Lord, which made God very pleased with Abel. When Cain saw the response Abel got from his offering and compared it to the response he himself got, he became angry and slew Abel in the field. This is known as the first murder in Biblical times. Imagine that if Cain had either consulted with Abel or had in his plan to offer God his crop’s very best as an offering like Abel did? The next example I could mention, would be Jesus’ Disciples. They were His most trusted confidants and close friends. However, not one of the had a sure fire plan in place, that would prepare them for being put on the spot by the Roman soldiers due to their association with Jesus Christ. Judas Iscariot who is known for the kiss that signaled to the Roman soldiers who Jesus Christ was for 30 pieces of silver. The other’s all denied knowing Jesus when they realized that their very lives depended on it. Imagine if they had really believe Jesus was who He said he was, and then put a plan in place to not deny Him. They would have been living in Paradise with Him after He hung His head on the cross and died. In bringing this to a close, look at your current life, do you have a plan in place of how you want your future to be? What about a plan for your children if you have any? There is no reason that you should not have a plan in place for your Spiritual life, your Family, your Health, your Finances, and last but not least your Career. Don’t be like a leaf blowing in the wind, that ends up wherever the winds blow it. Can I leave you with a question to ponder today if I may?
“What is YOUR Plan?” Can I get an AMEN???
“Today, choose to “Ride or Die” with Jesus Christ! Afterall, isn’t that exactly what He did for us on the Cross?”
