“Are YOU 100% sure, that you are Saved and headed to Heaven when you die? Are you sure YOUR name IS written in the Heavenly “Book of Life?” Is there absolutely not a shadow of a doubt in your mind, that your Salvation is already secured and you’re just waiting on the good Lord to call you home to be with Him? If the answer is “No, Not Sure, I Think So, Maybe, or Probably, then you need to get busy right now working on fixing that. You need to be totally sure where your Soul will spend eternity!” And AMEN goes right here….

Thought For Today – “Let Your Next Step, Be Your Very BEST Step!”
Good Morning Saints! How are you doing this morning, good I hope? Did you have a good weekend, I sure hope so? Well it is Tuesday and the new work week is off and running on a good note so far! I was out yesterday for a follow up appointment on my back. Hopefully now we can move forward on getting me back on track workout wise! I am ready, soooooooo ready to make the next step in my exercise and conditioning journey! Which brings me to today’s message. By a show of virtual hands raised, how many of you made New Year Resolutions at the end of 2017? Now, keeping your hands held high, how many of you have already broken most if not all of those resolutions? That is one of the main reasons I stopped making those lists. If you have to wait until the start of a new year to make the decisions to be better, and do better, then you really aren’t very mature are you? It is with this train of thought, or line of thinking, that it was placed on my heart this morning to talk about, “Let Your Next Step, Be Your Very BEST Step!” And AMEN goes right here! If you would, turn with me to the book of Psalms 37:23 (KJV) – “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.” Next, turn to Proverbs 20:24 (KJV) – “The steps of a person are ordained by the Lord. So how can anyone understand his own way?” Most Gracious and most Holy Heavenly Father, I come to you Lord with a bowed down head, and a humbled heart, as humble as I know how, asking that you anoint me with your wisdom, and especially your mercy to relay this message in the way that You would have me relay it to my audience dear Lord. In your sweet darling Son Jesus Christ’s name, and all the Christian folks say AMEN!
Let me ask you a very personal question if I may, how many of you reading this right now. are struggling with letting go of something in your life? It could be anything, and addiction, your finances, your health, a previous relationship, a marriage, your Religious beliefs, or maybe even with what to do with your life in the future? You don’t have to tell me which one you are dealing/struggling with, just acknowledge that you indeed ARE dealing with “something” that you really would rather not be dealing with in your past, right now, tomorrow, or even never? Now, did you know that you attitude will determine when or even if your time frame dealing with it will last? Seriously, it is very true! Think about it, even the Bible speaks on this subject in a roundabout way, “The tongue has the power of life and death; And those who love it will eat its fruit.” (read Proverbs 18:21) If you understand Biblical terms, then you know that what that verse is saying, is that you can speak about your circumstances in such a way that you give them life! I’m sure we’ve all sat around and talked to our friends about our problems, or storms we were going thru to the point that we not only exhausted ourselves, but our friends too? And what you may not have known, is that the entire time you were speaking on that subject you were giving it life. “My life is just so screwed up right now, seems like I can’t do anything right.” Well you just gave the fact that you can’t do anything right life to manifest into your life in reality. Why not spend that time and energy speaking death to your bad situations? For example, let’s say you have been dealing with a health issue for a long time. Instead of complaining about it all the time, why not try claiming victory over it? “I am not going to be dealing with this issue much longer, and as a matter of fact, I am CLAIMING total and complete victory of healing over my current health situation, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, MY Lord and Savior?” Too many people spend too much time whining and complaining about their problems to other people and in return are continuing to give them life, when they should be speaking death to those situations or circumstances. And I get an AMEN on that my brothers and my sisters?
In keeping pace with my subject topic for today’s devotional, I am reminded about the Prodigals son. Oh come on now, you know the story about the Prodigals son? He was the youngest of two sons of a well to do business man, who one day decided at a very young age that he wanted to strike out in the world and see all of the sights and bright lights of the big city as the old saying goes. There was only one problem, he didn’t have the means to do this. Then he had the not so bright idea to go to his father and ask that he give him “his” portion (inheritance) of this estate now, instead of when his father dies. Now as I’ve stated before, that fact right there tells me this was not an African American family. Not trying to be racial here, but us black folk know better than to go to any of our parents and ask this type of question! Me personally, I like my teeth right exactly where they are right now! Both my Mother and my Grandfather would have relocated them somewhere other than my mouth had I been stupid (not bold, S-T-U-P-I-D) enough to go to them while they were still alive and ask them that question. But in this Biblical story (read Luke 15: 11-32), that’s exactly what the Prodigals son did. Now for those of you who doesn’t know what “Prodigal” mean, it means “wastefully extravagant.” Surprisingly, the father agreed to give his son what he asked for, and the son left his father’s house and went out into the world. Now it wasn’t long, before the youngest son spent, blew, squandered, etc… every penny he was given. He found himself so financially destitute, that he considered eating the very slop he was being paid to feed his boss’ swine (aka pigs or hogs). Now, here’s where his story takes a huge life changing turn for the better. He decided at that very moment, that he would arise and go back to his father’s house, and beg him to let him come home even if it meant being one of his servants. For he knew that even being a servant, that he would be better off than slopping hogs. This is a great example of “Letting Your Next Step, Being Your Very BEST Step.” All it took in this instance to get started in the right direction, was to swallow his pride that he had made a mistake, and decided to go back and rectify that mistake with his father. You can just as easily make the decision to leave your current situation behind and move forward into the future that God has in His Will for your life! The million dollar question is, are you willing to do it? Can I leave you a question to ponder today if I may?
“Which Direction Are Your Steps Headed In, Life or Death As In The Comparison To Your Tongue?” Can I Get An AMEN?
“Today, choose to “Ride or Die” with Jesus Christ! Afterall, isn’t that exactly what He did for us on the Cross?”
