Morning Christian Words of Encouragement – “Are YOU 100% sure, that you are Saved and headed to Heaven when you die? Are you sure YOUR name IS written in the Heavenly “Book of Life?” Is there absolutely not a shadow of a doubt in your mind, that your Salvation is already secured and you’re just waiting on the good Lord to call you home to be with Him? If the answer is “No, Not Sure, I Think So, Maybe, or Probably, then you need to get busy right now working on fixing that. You need to be totally sure where your Soul will spend eternity!” And AMEN goes right here….

Thought For Today – “I’ve Quit Quitting!”
Good Morning Peeps! How are you doing this morning, good I hope? Are you having a good work week so far, those of you who are still having to work? Today is my last day this year to work, and I have to say that I am VERY glad! I am so looking forward to getting to sleep in late, and to just be able to recharge my batteries! I will still post devotionals on my Facebook page wall, as well as on my “Third Eye Perspective Christian Ministry” page on Facebook. If you haven’t gone and found it and hit “Like” on it, be sure to do so and you will still be able to see these during the times that I am off for Christmas break, as well as to read all of the past Devotionals I’ve written! Okay, let’s dive into today’s message! By a show of virtual hands, how many of you hates a quitter? You know, those people who give up and quit anytime anything gets a little difficult in their lives? And we all at some point in time in our lives will ponder the thought or idea of quitting due to how hard something we are going thru seems, or due to how much bad luck we may seem to be experiencing at any particular time. However, we continue to press forward and move on in the forward direction. I know it is wrong for me to say this, but I’m going to say it anyways, “I ABSOLUTLY HATE A QUITTER!!!” It is with this train of thought, or line of thinking, that it was placed on my heart this morning to talk about, “I’ve Quit “Quitting!” And AMEN goes right here! Now THAT my brothers and sisters will PREACH all by itself right there! And AMEN again! Most Gracious and most Holy Heavenly Father, I come to you right now, asking that you Bless me to be able to Preach this message to my audience in such a way that they will understand it, and be totally and completely Blessed by it, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Sweet Darling Son. Amen, and AMEN again!
Now, in dealing with the notion of a quitter, we have to first examine the true meaning of the word to “quit.” If you were to go to Webster’s Dictionary or Google and type in the word “QUIT,” you would get the following result – “To give up, stop, or relinquish.” In other words, to cease and desist! If you are like me and played sports all of your early, mid and even some of the latter years of my life in some form or fashioned, one of the first things you learned about being successful is that “Quitters NEVER win!” That is an undebatable FACT!!! You can’t win anything, whether it be a race, a basketball, football, baseball, soccer, game if you quit! Not only that, but you will not get any better if you “QUIT” putting in the extra work needed to be successful in that particular sport or activity! One of my lifelong best friends and cousin, L.V. Henderson Jr. in my book should either have been a drill Sargent in the military, or a fitness and condition trainer for a major athletic program. I have said many times that I credit him for me being as successful of an athlete (Basketball, Football, Track, etc…) because he pushed me to my limits in my early years of conditioning! And the best thing about him, is that he would use motivational phrases like “Come Los, we need to go run some bleachers, or up some hills, or do some push up and sit ups man, all of your competitors are still in the bed (it was 4 or 5 am in the summers off from school LOL) and this is the only way to get ahead of them!” I hated that dude all thru my high school years! Man I wanted to quit so bad so many times with the hell (yes you read that right, it was pure HELL in what we were putting our bodies thru back then) we were putting our bodies thru to get better. And trust me when I tell you that he helped me more than I could ever imagine too! It is not everyday that a junior high kid slam dunks the basketball with two hands from a vertical leap when you are only about 6’0 tall unless you either were born with springs in your legs, or you have strengthened your leg muscle to be that powerful. In MY case, it was the latter of the two!
Every youth Coach of any sport, makes it their number one priority to teach their players that failure is NOT an option as one of their first lessons not only in sports, but in life. Okay, Okay, OKAY! I know, you need “Biblical” references on this subject in order for it to be “validated” with you that this is a worthy Devotional right? Well, I could name many people in the Bible who had every reason to quit and give up, and just DIE out of frustration but they keep pressing on and forward. The first that comes to mind, is the woman with the issue of Blood for 12 long years! (read Luke 8:43:48) That health condition alone would make many people “tap out” after the doctors told them what they told her, that there was not a cure for her condition. Had she gave up and “QUIT” seeking Jesus Christ after learning that He could possibly save her, would have kept her from being healed! Yet she pressed (fought) her way thru the crowd when He came to her town, and all she managed to do was “touch the hem of His garment,” and the Bible says she was made whole! The next example that comes to mind, would be Job. (read the Job 46) Oh come on now, I know you know Job? Job was a wealthy man living in a land call “Uz” with his large family and extensive flocks. He is “blameless” and “upright,” always careful to avoid doing evil…… aka he was a really good dude in other words!!! However, that was his downfall (temporarily), because Satan appears before God in Heaven and they start to discuss who Satan could try and tempt that God had blessed abundantly to see if they would cave or “QUIT” Praising and Worshipping God if they lost it all. Well God suggested Satan try his luck with Job. Long story short, Satan was allowed to take everything Job had, his health, his wealth, his children, his possessions, his large home, EVERYTHING! And Satan just knew Job would “QUIT” and decide life wasn’t worth living, or God was not worth serving to allow such a thing to happen. Now watch this, Job instead started to Praise and Worship God right one the spot of staring at everything that he had lost. And he did it so convincingly that Satan fled him in frustration. I’m not done with you yet! When Job had EVERY reason in the world to throw up his hands and quit, he didn’t! Matter of fact, he did just the opposite! Even Job’s wife cursed God for allowing all of Job’s valued things to be taken from them. And she got very angry that her husband continued to Praise and Worship God after the fact. This is the kind of God we serve, God not only restored EVERYTHING Job lost, but He restored it 10 fold! That’s multiplication for 10x’s what he previously had! Don’t tell me we don’t serve a mighty God! Can I leave you with a question to ponder today if I may???
“What Will It Take For YOU To Quit “Quitting?” Can I Get An Amen?????
“Have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a VERY HAPPY and PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR of 2018!!!”
“Choose to “Ride or Die” with Jesus Christ! Afterall, isn’t that exactly what He did for us on the Cross?”
