Morning Christian Words of Encouragement – “Are YOU 100% sure, that you are Saved and headed to Heaven when you die? Are you sure YOUR name IS written in the Heavenly “Book of Life?” Is there absolutely not a shadow of a doubt in your mind, that your Salvation is already secured and you’re just waiting on the good Lord to call you home to be with Him? If the answer is “No, Not Sure, I Think So, Maybe, or Probably, then you need to get busy right now working on fixing that. You need to be totally sure where your Soul will spend eternity!” And AMEN goes right here….

Thought For Today – “God Chose You With Your Past In Mind.”
Good Morning Saints! How are you doing this morning, good I hope? Are you having a great work week so far, I sure hope so? What about your Christmas shopping, do you have it all finished? Now I know that some of you when you read that subject line, it may have caused you to question where I was going with that particular thought, am I right? Well first of all, we ALL have a past don’t we? And when I say we all have one, I mean that we all have things in our past that we aren’t very proud of #1, and #2 we would rather not have to think about again. However our pasts, are what helped to develop us into the people (both good or bad) that we are today. The smart people have learned from the mistakes they made in their past, and have for the most part been able to avoid making the same mistakes moving forward. Then again, other people have not learned a doggone thing from their past, which is why they are doomed to keep repeating it. Then you have that group of people who have blamed everyone else for the things that happened in their past, and using that as an excuse as to not changing for the better in the current or present life. It is with this train of thought, or line of thinking, that it was placed on my heart this morning to talk about, “God Chose You With Your Past In Mind.” And AMEN goes right here! Isaiah 43:18- says, “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.(v19) Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Father God in Heaven, I come to you with a bowed down head, and a very humbled heart, asking that you Bless me to relay Your Holy Word, to my family, friends, acquaintances, and even strangers alike who receive it in your sweet darling Son Jesus Christ name. Amen, and AMEN again.
Now when the subject about out past comes up, many people would rather walk barefoot over a hot burning fire pit, or get stung by 10,000 angry hornets wouldn’t they? Well I hope not, and of course that was over exaggerating a little bit. It is a subject we can all agree that most people would like to forget totally wouldn’t we? Nomatter how much we have bounced back from the mistakes we made in our pasts, we still feel a certain level of pain whenever we venture back down that road in our minds, some more than others. And the reason behind that reluctance to want to venture back down those painful roads has more to do with either not having resolved those painful things that happened to, or that was caused by us, OR we never got any understanding of what they happened in the first place. Some people don’t even realize, that these nomatter what it was that happened, it was meant to happen that way. Call it fate, destiny, or whatever you want to call it, but at the end of the day, it was meant to happen exactly like it happened. Now, some of the things happened due to poor choices we made, and was a consequence of that choice. However, other people who experienced painful things in their past was of no action of their own. It was pretty much a wrong place, at the wrong time, kind of situation. Regardless of your level of pain, anguish, and unresolved issues due to your past, “God Chose You With Your Past In Mind.” I know for some people, that might come across as a very hard truth to swallow, but it is very true. “How could God allow that to happen to me when I have done nothing wrong? I mean, I know I’m not “perfect,” but I do TRY to be a good person. I got to Church two times a week and twice on Sundays. I read my Bible everyday, I am kind to my fellow man, and even try to help people in need. Yet bad things still happen to me. WHY Lord, WHY ME?” Is where a lot of us probably stand with trying to make sense of our pasts isn’t it?
When I say, “God Chose You With Your Past In Mind,” I am simply saying that He knew all about how our lives were going to play out, and that we were going to fail Him daily and make mistake after mistake, and yet His love for us never weakened nor lessened, nor ever went away. As I have stated so many times in my devotionals, as long as we repent for our sins, there is NOTHING that can separate us from the love of God, except for unconfessed sin. Also, that He knows the possibility of any of us being anywhere near “perfect” got thrown out of the plan way back in the beginning when Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit. When that act was committed, it was “all bets are off” on us ever being able to be perfect beings. Despite the FACT, that we were created in His (God’s) image, and that God is a perfect being. (read Genesis 1:27) “God created us in His own image and likeness.” With that being said, the screw up in the Garden of Eden by Adam and Eve when they ate of the forbidden fruit, God knew He had to accept us from that moment on as being “flawed.” And unlike with the Angels that God created in Heaven, we have the option of whether or not we want to serve him. The Angels on the otherhand, were created just to Praise and Worship God continually and to do His bidding on His behalf. Think about all God did for the Israelites, His “chosen” people? You would think, that when a whole race of people were deemed “God’s Chosen People,” that they would be so honored that they would make it a point to never make a mistake right? But they made mistake after mistake, after mistake, and strayed away from God time and time again, and He never stopped loving them. The very minute they would realize their mistakes and repent for them asking Him to forgive them, He would step right back in and pick up when He left off. However, don’t take my words “He would step right back in” too literally. Remember, when they turned away from God and His Commandments, He was absent for long periods of time. Like the 400 years they were in slavery under Pharaoh in Egypt. The 40 years that they were wandering around in the wilderness after being delivered from slavery under Pharaoh. The point I’m trying to make, is that God chose us to be His most prized possessions despite of our flaws, weaknesses, and mistakes, aka our pasts. Why not choose Him over all of the things we place so much value on that in the grand scheme of things mean absolutely nothing if He is not part of it. Can I leave you with a question to ponder?
“Will You Choose God With The Future He Has In Mind For Us?” Can I Get An AMEN?????
“Today, choose to ride or die with Jesus Christ! Afterall, isn’t that exactly what He did for us on the Cross?”
