Morning Christian Words of Encouragement – “Are YOU 100% sure, that you are Saved and headed to Heaven when you die? Are you sure YOUR name IS written in the Heavenly “Book of Life?” Is there absolutely not a shadow of a doubt in your mind, that your Salvation is already secured and you’re just waiting on the good Lord to call you home to be with Him? If the answer is “No, Not Sure, I Think So, Maybe, or Probably, then you need to get busy right now working on fixing that. You need to be totally sure where your Soul will spend eternity!” And AMEN goes right here….

Thought For Today – “Godly Tampering”
Good Morning Saints! How are you doing this morning, good I hope? “Happy Humpty Hump Day” to you! Are you having a good/great work week so far, I sure hope so? I got today’s subject as I was listening to Pastor Ron Carpenter’s message series on relationships and successful marriages. However, my subject is not so much so related to dating, and marriage although there will be a reference or two about relationships mentioned. Ladies and Gentlemen, by an honest virtual show of hands, how many of you has either been guilty of, or felt like someone was interfering in your life? Now I know a lot of hands shot up on the second part of that question (feeling like someone has been tampering with YOUR life) but not so many I would assume admitting that you had interfered in someone else’s life? It is with this train of thought, or line of thinking, that it was placed on my heart this morning to talk about, “Godly Tampering.” Now I know that right there will PREACH! And AMEN goes right here! Now as I usually like to do, I want to first define the word “Tampering,” so that you will have a clear understanding of what it means and where I’m going with this message. If you were to google the word, you find the following definition – “to interfere with something in order to cause damage or make unauthorized alterations. To exert a secret or corrupt influence upon someone.” Now I am sure that at one point in time during your life you have seen either a scary movie where someone is using a voodoo doll to manipulate someone else and to bring them harm. There are even commercials regarding sports (football) using it in a funny or jokative way. I know we all know someone, who isn’t happy at all unless they are interfering with someone else’s life. It may be an acquaintance, a close friend, a family member, or maybe even one of your yet-to-be revealed enemies or haters. Everytime you turn around, there they are saying or doing something that ends up having a negative impact on your life. Yawl ain’t saying NOTHING??? Why is it that my most recent messages have just swallowed all the “AMEN’s” that I would normally be getting? Oh that’s right, MY BAD, I forgot, when you start hitting close to home, people tend to pucker up in protest LOL! Okay no problem, I’ll give myself an amen. And AMEN goes right here!
Okay, okay, okay, let me switch gears on you right now! You can rest assured that the type of “tampering” that I am talking about, is NOT done by any of the people I mentioned above, but by God. Wait what was that, you didn’t know that God engages in tampering with our lives? What planet are you from? Let me break that statement/claim down for you so that you better understand it. God absolutely does tamper with, influences, allows things to happen, and or even prevents certain things from happening in our lives. When God decides to tamper with one of, or any of His children’s (Christians) lives, it is ALWAYS for the better good, and to accomplish His will being done. The first example of this, is when He expelled, removed, or as they say in the hood, “kicked to the curb,” Lucifer (aka Satan, the Devil) out of Heaven. This had a HUGE impact on the human race believe it or not, because at that point, Lucifer who became then known as Satan made it his lifelong purpose to destroy, or bring the human race to the point of worshipping him as opposed to God. The very reason Satan hates the human race so much, is because we are so highly regarded in God’s eyes number one, and number two, because God allows us to be forgiven, Satan was not offered that Grace. Now, getting back to my subject of “Godly Tampering,” it is very safe to believe that God is most definitely very intimately involved in how our lives will play out. When you become born again, if you have really and truly had an encounter with Jesus Christ, there is no way you can walk away from that experience the same way you were before! A prime example of this would be Saul (read Acts 9: 1-9) aka Paul. After Saul encountered Jesus on the road to Damascus. This was a prime example of “Godly Tampering.”
Another good example of “Godly Tampering,” would be the Israelites. God adopted the Israelites as His “chosen people,” meaning they were the race of people that He personally was going to Bless and engage in Holy “tampering” for. Did God not protect the Israelites from their enemies when they were being obedient? Hmmmmnnnnnn, there’s a whole message right there for you, but I’ll save that for another time. Did God not punish the Israelites when they strayed away from Him and His Covenant? Is that not considered to be “tampering?” God has, and according to the Bible will always use forms of manipulation aka “tampering” for the Saved Christian population. It isn’t that He doesn’t care about the non-believers, He does. Look at how many times in the Bible where we as Christians are asked to minister to the non-believers, Pray for and over them, and to also help them if we are able to. However, He usually only gets involved with “tampering” or manipulating the lives of Christians. Well let me take that back, because I guess you could consider it “tampering” when he allows disasters and bad things to happen to non-believers. Let me bring this closer to home as I bring this to a close. Each and every one of you reading this, stop and take a minute to ponder on times in your life when certain things and especially people were taking from your lives that you never saw yourself living without? I bet if you were honest with yourself, you would find more times than not, this happened when you were trying your best to be obedient to God, am I right? I can honestly say this to be the case for me! When I started this journey of sharing God’s Holy word with the public, the more dedicated I got to doing it, certain people who were in my life started to walk away. Certain habits of mine that would be considered ungodly, started to be broken. People started coming out of the woodworks wanting to be associated with me, but those friendships/relationship didn’t last long, because God knew they were not beneficial, and indeed were dangerous for my purpose. That was, and still IS to this day very hard to accept and understand, but I know that God’s “tampering” was for my better good. Once I took on that mentality, I was able to get back in gear and on the right track/path and keep pushing forward. I have and continue to learn, “Don’t Fight The Process, Embrace It!” I still struggle with it at times, especially in recent years, but I always bounce back from it. Can I leave you with a question to ponder today if I may?
“Are You Hindering God From Doing Some Much Needed Tampering In Your Life Right Now?” Can I get an AMEN?
“Today, choose to “RIDE or DIE” with Jesus Christ! Afterall, isn’t that what He did for us on the Cross?”
