Morning Christian Words of Encouragement – “Are YOU 100% sure, that you are Saved and headed to Heaven when you die? Are you sure YOUR name IS written in the Heavenly “Book of Life?” Is there absolutely not a shadow of a doubt in your mind, that your Salvation is already secured and you’re just waiting on the good Lord to call you home to be with Him? If the answer is “No, Not Sure, I Think So, Maybe, or Probably, then you need to get busy right now working on fixing that. You need to be totally sure where your Soul will spend eternity!” And AMEN goes right here….

Thought For Today – “Short-Term Life Planning”
Good Morning Saints! How are you doing this morning, good I hope? Are you having a good start to your work week so far, I sure hope so? Have you put up your Christmas tree yet, I have to admit that I’ve not put one up in the last few years. However, I am planning on putting one up in the next few days. By a show of virtual hands, how many of you like to plan your life out? I know I’ve always heard, that women would like to be married between 22-25, have children between 27-30 after they have gotten into their career and gotten settled, maybe made and saved some money for the additional expenses of having a child/children. Most men on the otherhand, are not big on planning. The real driven ones are, men who have high aspirations of changing the landscape of, and making a huge impact on the world. It is with this train of thought, or line of thinking, that it was placed on my heart this morning to talk about “Short-Term Life Planning.” Actually, what I am going to talk about this morning, is the dangers of “Short Term Life Planning.” And AMEN goes right here! There are many influences on our lives is that not a valid statement? People are influenced by what we see on tv, music we listen to, our surroundings, people who we frequently “hang” with, and are heavily influenced by our upbringings. All of this working together in unison, for the good, and yes also for the bad of our future decisions. Now, let me get into this whole idea of “Short-Term Life Planning,” and how is can and will have a negative impact or influence on how our lives will be.
If you were to google a definition of the words “Short-Term,” you would get the following as a result. “Occurring in or relating to a relatively short period of time.” People make “short-term” decisions everday that come back and haunt them don’t we? It is a practice that has been around for thousands and thousands of years isn’t it? I could take you all the way back to the “Garden of Eden,” and show you that Eve’s decision to walk down into the area of the Garden where the “Tree of Life and Knowledge” was, that her and Adam were forbid to partake of, was a “Short-Term” decision! And if we are going to concede that her decision was a “Short-Term” decision, then of course Adam’s decision of to partake of the forbidden fruit was a “Short-Term” decision as well. However, both of those decisions had LONGTERM ramifications didn’t they? The Bible says, that “their eyes were opened, and that they were then able to see all the things that God didn’t want them to see.” They were now subjected to experiencing all of the things that God never wanted Man to experience. Things like sickness, pain, disease, sadness, hate, sorrow, death, perversion, etc… I could go on and on because the list is long. I hope that I have just proven my next premise, that some “Short-Term Life Planning” is very detrimental to your health, life, etc…It is now human nature to make “Short-Term” decisions about our lives that will negatively impact us way into the future. Prime example, children who grow up in abusive households, are very highly likely to ether abuse their children, or they will have some longterm lasting emotional effects due to the abuse. Women who grow up in fatherless households, will spend the rest of their lives seeking approval from men who are way older than they are, at the cost of being physically or emotionally taken advantage of. Men who grow up without a good father figure as an example, will struggle with fatherhood, and or accepting responsibility for their actions when they are older. These examples are not “my” opinions, they are fact and our current generation who is known as “The Fatherless Generation,” is proof of it.
Man, talk about a cold feeling up here in this virtual pulpit, I haven’t gotten an AMEN Brotha since early on in my message and I had to give that one to myself LOL! I can feel the cold stares, they eye rolling going on behind the screens of your cell phones, computers, etc…. “Don’t Kill The Messenger!” Let me walk over to the other side of the pulpit, may I can get some AMENS over there? The sanctity of the human race right now is so backwards, that it is causing the deep-rooted deterioration of all of the moral fibers that ties us together! Think about it, the idea of marriage is fast becoming a forethought in most people’s minds. People will opt to just “live together” in sin, as opposed to taking it one step further and being joined in Holy matrimony. A large majority of men and women have given up the idea of working hard for everything they have, and have decided to steal it, con someone out of it, or sit around waiting for someone to come along and drop it in their laps. The new wave mentality of a lot of, but not all of the human race is to “get rich quick.” Even Religion has become BIG BUSINESS, just look around at how many Churches are popping up all over the place? All of these examples are confirmation of “Short-Term Life Planning,” because no one has the patience to wait for God to fulfill His promises to us. The whole mentality of “God might not come when you want Him to, but He is always right on time,” is a forgone thought anymore. “I don’t have time to wait on God to Bless me, He taking too long.” Seems to be the mentality a large majority of the human race has. “I want it right now, and if God ain’t going to give it to me “RIGHT NOW,” then I am going to go out and “do what I gotta do” to get it……. “RIGHT NOW.” Dang, still can’t get no AMENS over here either! I sure am getting a lot of that eye-rolling, smirks on your faces, and I can faintly hear them “Whatever, you don’t know what you tawkin bout man, you just running your mouth like all them otha fake Pastors.” Well one thing you would be wrong about, is “I” am NOT a Pastor, just a nobody, trying to tell everybody, about somebody, who can save ANYBODY!” GET IT RIGHT if you ain’t going to give me any AMEN’s !!! LOL Can I leave you with a question to ponder today if I may?
“Are you suffering from “Short-Term” Life Planning?”
Let the real Church Folk Say AMEN!!!
“Today, choose to “Ride or Die” with Jesus Christ! Afterall, isn’t that what He did for us on the Cross?”
