Morning Christian Words of Encouragement – “Are YOU 100% sure, that you are Saved and headed to Heaven when you die? Are you sure YOUR name IS written in the Heavenly “Book of Life?” Is there absolutely not a shadow of a doubt in your mind, that your Salvation is already secured and you’re just waiting on the good Lord to call you home to be with Him? If the answer is “No, Not Sure, I Think So, Maybe, or Probably, then you need to get busy right now working on fixing that. You need to be totally sure where your Soul will spend eternity!” And AMEN goes right here….

Thought For Today – “The Power of Your Tomorrow Lies in the Seeds of Your Today.”
Good Morning Peeps! How are you doing this morning, good I hope? Have you had a good week this week, I sure hope so? My week to be totally honest has been pretty “blah” ish. It hasn’t necessarily been a bad week, but it hasn’t been a good or great week either. Seems like I have been in a funk here lately and can’t seem to shake out of it for some reason. I have been Praying hard, and even fasting in an attempt to try and break free of this down mood I’ve been in that makes me want to withdraw from everything and everyone. Anyways, it was very uplifting listing to Ron Carpenter’s message today of “Prepare for Tomorrow.” This message really opened my eyes about what I was going thru and feeling right now. Pastor Ron made a powerful statement that I decided to use as my subject for today, “The Power of Your Tomorrow Lies in The Seeds of Your Today.” WOW! In other words, the seeds that you plant today, are going to be birthed, sprouted, raised, etc…up into power that you can benefit from, or that will consume you tomorrow! Well, since I have already given you my Thought for today, let me dive right into this message and see if I can lay it out for you clearly enough to Bless you as much as it has me!
If you are like me, and grew up in the country, you know all about “planting seeds,” because every “sprang” as the older generations like to call it, youth all over the world turns into free farm laborers LOL! My dear Grandmother had a garden that seemed huge back then, but now thinking back on it, wasn’t barely an acre in size. However, that garden was one of the best gardens I can ever remember seeing in our neighborhood. It had very fertile soil, which is necessary for producing good crops. My Grandmother made sure my Grandfather kept it tilled up real good, and all of her kids and grandkids who were old enough had no choice but to keep it week free! You see, my dear Grandmother knew that in order to get a good producing crop from her garden, it had to have a few very important things: #1. Good/great soil with good and plenty of good nutrients for the seeds. #2. It had to have some extra fertilizer added, just to make sure all of the seeds maxed out to their fullest potential. #3. You have to have good irrigation for the plants as they sprout up and mature. #4. You have to keep it tilled up so that the seeds can sprout easily thru the soil, but then to just keep the soil around it good and soft. #5. Last but not least, you have to keep all of the weeds pulled from around your sprouting seeds, because if you don’t they will end up choking out your good seeds/plants way before they ever have a chance to bloom to their fullest potential. There wasn’t but one person in my memory who could raise a better garden than my Grandparents, and he was my great uncle Elijah Walker, whom we simply called “Uncle Bader.” Don’t ask me why, but that was the name I always heard him called. This man always the most beautiful garden, and it would produce so much bounty that he had to sell a lot of it because he would run out of storage places due to it producing so much! I would just stand there in total awe of his gardens everytime we’d go feed the horses and cows because his garden was right there at his house at the front part of our pasture.
Getting back to my Grandmother’s garden, it would produce so much vegetables that the entire family would benefit from it. My aunts and uncles would come and pick vegetables to fill their freezers and pantry’s for the winter and that would prevent everyone from having to spend so much money on vegetables during the winter time, when grocery stores would raise their prices significantly due to having to ship those fresh veggies in from places like California and Florida. Okay, now let me put all of this “seed planting” and garden talk into some Spiritual comparisons that you can take with you. In my subject title “The Power of Your Tomorrow Lies In The Seeds of Your Today,” what this really means is that if you plant good seeds today, i.e. Positive thinking, Positive Actions, and just a clean and Positive heart in general, today as in right now, right this minute, you will experience a return on your investment so to speak tomorrow and most if not all tomorrows after that. Another saying that comes to mind here, “Your attitude towards any situation will either help you think of ways to improve even a good situation, or if it a bad situation, help you to figure out ways deal with it better so that you don’t allow the situation to control you! That’s what I’m going to focus on in my situation right now. I am going to stop focusing on the situation, which is good being that I have no control over it, and I’m instead going to shift my focus on my today’s and tomorrows. I am going to plant my tomorrows’ seeds, in good and the fertile ground is positivity and confidence, and then watch them sprout and blossom into a positive result! In other words, I have taking on the mentality of “stop worrying about what happened yesterday, or what will happen tomorrow, and strictly focus on what is happening today! That is a mighty word right there for someone else besides me! One of my biggest faults that I’ve come to realize, is that I place way too much of myself into things I believe in, and when they fail for any reason, I take it way, WAY too personal, because I hate to fail at anything. And when I do, whether it was my fault or due to the fault of someone, or something else, I have a hard time moving on from that situation. I spend way too much time analyzing and even over-analyzing what I could have done better to have been successful. That will take a huge toll on you if you spend too much of your time worrying about something that is over and done, or gone. “Okay Life, lesson learned, I failed and there’s nothing I can do about it but accept it and move on.” That is my lesson for myself today, maybe you too can learn to take that attitude towards your failed situations too? Anyways, can I leave you with a very important question to ponder today if I might?
“What kind of seeds are YOU planting today, good ones, or bad ones?”
Can I Get An AMEN?
“Today, choose to “Ride or Die” with Jesus Christ! Afterall, isn’t that exactly what He did for us on the Cross?”
