The Third Eye Perspective:

Thought For Today – “Human Nature”
Good Morning Peeps! How are you doing this morning, good I hope? Are you having a good work week so far, I sure hope so? For some reason when I got out of the shower this morning, and was shaving and brushing my teeth, an odd thing happened. I had a song pop into my head that was as random as can be, “Human Nature” by Michael Jackson. What’s crazy, is that it wasn’t so much the words to his song as it was the music. And best I can recall, I’ve not heard that song in ages. Then it happened, my mind started to flood with ideas, and I knew then it was a Third Eye Perspective Thought For Today ordeal. So with that being said, today it was placed on my heart to talk about, “Human Nature.” And AMEN goes right here! Now, in discussing “Human Nature,” we first need to define it so that you know exactly what it is…..the dictionary definition is as follows: “The general psychological characteristics, feelings, and behavioral traits of humankind, regarded as shared by all humans.” Now, human nature isn’t anything new is it? No, it has been around since the beginning of time and creation. The human nature of Satan when he was still an angel in Heaven known as Lucifer is what got him ultimately kicked out of heaven. When he allowed his aspirations to become like God and desired to be equal to or bigger than God. Well if you read your Bibles on a regular basis, then you know that God doesn’t have anything equal to, or bigger than he is. And AMEN goes right here too!
The same could be said for Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. When Eve wandered into the forbidden area of the Garden, she found herself being tempted by a serpent whom she may or may not have known was Satan himself. Now the important thing to remember or note here, is that God had already instructed them both not to eat of the forbidden fruit. However, Satan was able to successfully convince her that the only thing that would happen if she ate of the forbidden fruit, was that she would know what God knows, She would be LIKE God and see things that only God could see. That overwhelming urge to know more, see more, and be more, was just too much to resist. Human Nature also played a huge role in the Israelites cheating generation, after generation of their people out of a very good and prosperous life, by allowing their lack of Faith in God deeming them “His Chosen People.” Think about this, they spent over 400 years in slavery, and then another 40 years wandering around in the desert, for ignoring God’s warnings and breaking their covenant with Him. Isn’t it also human nature in this day and age for Christians to not want to follow God as closely as we know we should? Some people fail to do it out of lack of exposure to the Christian life. While others fail to do it because it is “too hard” to be a Christian, you can’t have any fun” mentality. Here’s a question for this type of folks, how fun do you think it is going to be when you are cast into the “lake of fire” aka Hell? Another thing about “Human Nature,” is that it has and continue to shape the world we currently live it right now. You have people who are kind, peaceful, and loving. You also have people who are evil, cruel, and full of hate. People who are so freehearted, that they would give you the last dime in their pockets and also the shirt off of their backs. People who are so selfish and narcissistic, that they will take and take and take from someone until they can’t get anymore benefits from them, and move on to the next person until someone stops them.
It is “Human Nature” that separates this entire world into so many different categories. Some people would rather create division among racial lines, instead of looking at someone who may not look like them and realize that God made all of us to live in peace and harmony while worshipping Him. But that isn’t exactly what’s happening in this world is it? Human nature determines what type of person you will become. There is a saying, “once you understand the nature of a thing, it’s actions or behavior will never surprise you.” That is pretty deep if you stop and really think about it. I would use the analogy of a game hunter. Before good hunters go off on their prospective hunting trips, do they not spend time studying the prey that they plan to hunt? Its eating habits, when the best time of the day to catch it out and about moving around. What the best seasonal time of the year to hunt it, etc…Here’s a Biblical verse pertaining to “Human Nature” when it comes to being Blessed greatly by God…. “He that is Faithful in that which is least, is Faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least, is unjust also in much.” Luke 16:10. It is some people’s human nature, to believe that God will pour out great Blessings on them and all they have to do is sit and wait for it to happen. That is not how God works! You will have to prove to God that you can be Faithful over the little things in order for Him to Bless you with the bigger or great things. Here’s another “Human Nature” characteristic, Procrastination is the biggest plague upon the human race. The things we know we should be doing the most, we put off until last, i.e. making it a point to spend time with God when we first wake up in the morning, paying our Church tithes EVERY Sunday, being a witness for Christ Jesus and the Kingdom of Heaven, “Loving that neighbor (aka everyone not just some people) as we love ourselves. “Having no other gods before Me,” which translates to, ANYTHING we put in front of, above, or make more important that God, is breaking that Commandment. It is Human Nature things like what is just above in this paragraph that plagues our world today. We could change our world so very easily to one that God would be so happy to dwell in, if we just changed most, or even just some of our human nature habits. Can I leave you with a question to ponder today if I may?
“How is your “Human Nature” impacting your life? Is it in a GOOD way, or a BAD way?”
Can I Get An AMEN????
“Today, choose to “Ride or Die” with Jesus Christ. Afterall, He did just that for us on the Cross didn’t He?”
