Morning Christian Words of Encouragement – “Are YOU 100% sure, that you are Saved and headed to Heaven when you die? Are you sure YOUR name IS written in the Heavenly “Book of Life?” Is there absolutely not a shadow of a doubt in your mind, that your Salvation is already secured and you’re just waiting on the good Lord to call you home to be with Him? If the answer is “No, Not Sure, I Think So, Maybe, or Probably, then you need to get busy right now working on fixing that. You need to be totally sure where your Soul will spend eternity!” And AMEN goes right here….

Thought For Today – “Is God Really “F.I.R.S.T.” In Your Life?”
Good Morning Peeps! How are you doing this morning, good I hope? It’s Friday, and the weekend is here and I hope that you have something fun or relaxing planned. I’m not sure what I’m going to do, but I do plan to do something fun. I am starting to feel like my old self again. I’ve been back to working out trying to get back into shape and apparently those five miles everyday are paying off. I have lost 6lbs in the past two weeks. That may not mean much for you, but it means everything to me LOL! Last year, I lost 33lbs from working out. Then in December, I had an auto accident where a girl hit me pretty hard. As a result, it injured my back, neck and shoulder pretty good. I couldn’t work out and not only did I gain those 33lbs back, but added a few more on top of that! Well that is a first for me LOL! Imaging losing 33lbs, and then in a few months gaining it and more back due to something unforeseen happening? I can tell you it wasn’t/isn’t a good feeling at all LOL! Speaking of “Firsts,” I was listening to Pastor Jentezen Franklin this morning as I was shaving and brushing my teeth and getting ready for work this morning, and he posed the question “Is God Really First In Your Life?” He made some very bold and powerful statements that I would like to share with you. It got me to thinking and asking myself that question, and on some I passed, while yet on others I failed miserably, because I was very honest in my answers. So without further hesitation, it is with this train of thought or line of thinking, that it was placed on my heart this morning, to talk about “Is God Really “F.I.R.S.T.” In Your Life?” And AMEN goes right here! Man, oh man, I know that one will PREACH!
I’m sure there were some people who asked themselves that question and without hesitation, said boldly YES He is! But are you really being totally 100% honest? Here’s a little test you can take to prove that God IS, or ISN’T FIRST in your life. Are you ready, let’s go. #1. Is God FIRST in your Finances? Do you honor Him every Sunday with your tithes and offering without skipping a pay period or Sunday? If the answer is, “well most of the time, some of the time, or when I can afford to,” then the answer is NO God is NOT FIRST in your Finances! See how easy that was? #2. Is God FIRST in your Interests? What type of books and magazines are you reading on a daily basis? What type of music are you listening to? What type of TV shows are you watching? What type of crowds are you hanging out with? Do you see the picture I’m trying to paint for you now? And remember, I am just the messenger, so don’t go emailing, texting, or inboxing me on Facebook about this LOL! #3. Is God FIRST in your Relationships? Are you attracted to people of the opposite sex that have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ? And who strive everyday to be Christ-like? Now notice, I didn’t say anything about who is “perfect,” because that is not a reality in this day and age to find a perfect person. Are you even attracted to people of the opposite sex who openly proclaims and shows their love for Jesus Christ? If you visualize these people as “too Holy, or Boring, or a goody two shoes, or fanatical,” then chances are, that you are NOT honoring God in your relationships. If you are attracted to the “worldly people,” because they are attractive, rich, live on the edge, lavish, famous in some way or another, etc…but don’t have a true and real relationship with God, then NO you are NOT honoring God with your relationships. One of the most spoken fallacies of dating nowadays is, “I can’t seem to find a good woman, or a good man.” The question you really need to ask yourself, is would I recognize one if I did meet or see them? Too many people are blinded by a person’s physical appearance, or material haves or have not’s when trying to determine if a person would be a good match for them, and then wonder why they keep ending up with bad apples. And AMEN goes right there!
The next question you need to ask yourself in trying to sincerely determine if God is really “F.I.R.S.T.” in YOUR life, “is God “FIRST” in my Schedule?” Do you start your day off with spending time with God first thing in the morning when you wake up? I can honestly say “I” do! The first thing I do when I wake up each morning, is thank God for letting me see the new day that I’ve never seen before, and to Pray for myself, my family, my girlfriend and her family, and for each and every one of my friends. Another question to ask yourself, is how much time are you setting aside to spend in God’s Holy Word, Worshipping Him in Church, and also talking to other’s about Him aka being a witness for Christ Jesus? Again, if the answer is, “sometimes, not all the time, or every once in a while, then the answer is NO, God is NOT “FIRST” in your schedule!. Dusty Bible leads to dirty lives! You can read the Bible in a year, if you spend just 15 minutes a day reading your Bibles. And lastly, is God “FIRST” in your Trouble? What or who do you turn to when trouble finds your doorstep? Do you run and hide? Do you turn to a bottle of alcohol? Do you turn to drugs? Do you crawl up under a rock and just try to ignore the trouble? If you are doing any of those things above, then NO God is NOT “FIRST” in your trouble situations! The very FIRST thing (no pun intended) that we need to do when trouble finds us, is to find a quiet place and Pray the Blood of Jesus Christ over you and don’t forget to include your significant other, and your family and even your friends be covered from trouble as well. It is stated many times in the Bible that we will experience troubled days, but how we approach viewing them, and dealing with them determines how long the last, and how much damage is done. And if case you didn’t notice, as I draw this message to a close, the five questions I posed to you all started with the letters “F.I.R.S.T.” Now go and TWEET that! Can I leave you with a question to ponder today if I may?
“Is God Really “F.I.R.S.T.” in YOUR Life? If the answer is a resounding NO after asking yourself the questions above, then I suggest you fix that problem now! Tomorrow is NOT promised to anyone, so “don’t put off till tomorrow, what you can do today.”
Can I Get An AMEN?
“Today, choose to put God “FIRST” in your life! Afterall, didn’t He do exactly that for us on the Cross?”
