The Third Eye Perspective:
Morning Christian Words of Encouragement – “Are YOU 100% sure, that you are Saved and headed to Heaven when you die? Are you sure YOUR name IS written in the Heavenly “Book of Life?” Is there absolutely not a shadow of a doubt in your mind, that your Salvation is already secured and you’re just waiting on the good Lord to call you home to be with Him? If the answer is “No, Not Sure, I Think So, Maybe, or Probably, then you need to get busy right now working on fixing that. You need to be totally sure where your Soul will spend eternity!” And AMEN goes right here….

Thought For Today – “Lord, Give Us THIS Day, Our Dailey Bread…”
Good Morning Peeps! How are you doing this morning, good I hope? Did you have a good work week, I sure hope so? Mine has been pretty busy actually, but not bad at all. My back is starting to feel better, and I’ve actually started back working out. I know, I know, I’m not rushing back into anything, just starting off with some cardio. I’ve been fast walking 5 miles everyday this week. I have got to do something, I’ve gained back all the weight I lost last year! I guess all these months of eating good and not exercising due to my back has caught up with me. Anyways, I was reading in the Bible book of Exodus about the mass exit of the Israelites from Egypt, I got to thinking about the “Manna” God gave them when they were in the wilderness for those 40 years. That in turn, got me to thinking about the “Lord’s Prayer” where is say “Give Us This Day Our Dailey Bread, and forgive us of our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil,” and I’ll stop right there. With that being said, it was placed on my heart this morning to talk about “Lord, Give Us THIS Day, Our Daily Bread…” and AMEN goes right here! “IF” I was a preacher, I could preach a whole sermon on that one line of the Lord’s Prayer. By a show of virtual hands, how many of you knows what that line really means? Come on now, anyone, anyone??? Surely there are some folks out there who reads their Bibles regular enough that they can remember what the Bible says about it? In the words of Keyshawn Johnson (former NFL Football player) “C’mon mannnnnnnnnnnnnn!” LOL!
There are two places in the Bible where the Lord’s Prayer can be found. The longer version can be found in the book of Matthew 6:5-15 verse. The shorter version, which is the one most Christians recite from time to time in Church services, can be found in the Book of Luke 11:1-13 verses. The Prayer originated from when Jesus had been Praying, and one of His disciples heard Him and asked Him to teach them how to Pray like John the Baptist taught his disciples. Anyways, if you break down the sentence I am using for my subject today, you should come up with something a little like this… “Lord, give us this day, our daily bread.” When Praying this, you are asking God in Heaven to give you bread (Spiritual Blessings), meaning a part of Him. Because if you remember, Jesus Christ said that “I am the Bread of Life, remember me when you partake of my body (bread).” Now in regards to the Israelites and how they fit into this whole grand scheme of things, God fed them “Manna” which means “what is it” in Hebrew, while they were in the desert aka the wilderness. Every morning God would rain down this “Manna” on the ground from the Heavens with the dew when it fell upon the ground. The Bible says, that this “Manna” bare by itself tasted like wafers that had been made with honey. Now watch this, God instructed the Israelites to eat only what they had gathered that day! In other words, don’t try to store it, nor stockpile it, because everyday He would send down more. And to ensure that didn’t happen, the Bible also says that worms would come from deep in the earth and eat what was left of it after the Israelites had eaten their fill of it. I know you will agree with me that an AMEN goes right here, right?
Now that I’ve hopefully explained what the subject line today means, and where it came from. Let me also try to relate it to our lives today in this day and age. First of all, the very purpose behind the subject line, was to learn how to Pray to God in Heaven. And in this Prayer, you are first acknowledging God as your Lord and Savior, (Our Father, who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom Come, Thy will be done, on Earth, as it is in Heaven.) The next part of that Prayer, is asking God to watch over, and provide for, and even to protect us, (Give us this day, our daily bread, and forgives us of our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil..) The Israelites Prayed this Prayer to God everyday. We as Christians, should take a page out of the Israelites book of Prayer, in first honoring God for who He is, and then for what He is, and lastly for what He is capable of doing if He so chooses to. Now here is another important fact about when God supplied “Manna” to the Israelites in the desert/wilderness. God gave each household only the amount that they had capacity to use. If you had 4 people in your house, then God gave you enough for 4 people. If say you had 5 or maybe even 6 people in your household, then God gave you enough for 5 or 6 people so that none would be wasted. This is another example of my previous statement a while back that “God is not fair, but He is Just.” He will provide you exactly what you need, if you place your entire hope, faith, and trust in Him from beginning to end. Can I leave you with a question to ponder today if I may?
“Are YOU Depending On God TO Provide For You?”
“Today, choose to “Ride or Die” with Jesus Christ! Afterall, did He do the same for us?”
Can I get an Amen???
