The Third Eye Perspective: “The Unexplainable Absences of God.”
Good Morning Peeps! How are you doing today, good I hope? Did you have a good weekend? How is your work week going so far, good I hope? Well as you probably figured out by now, that I was out yesterday. I had a doctor’s appointment to receive another procedure for those epidural injections in my back. It is starting to kick in now, and man do I feel good! Anyways, let’s get to the message today. Let me ask you a question, by a show of virtual hands, what is YOUR attitude during the dark times in your life in regards to God when the storms come? Let me break that down a little further for better clarification, “In the midst of your storms, do you place any emphasis on still Praising and Worshipping God, or do you curl up in a ball and just try to ride it out? So may, and some may not, but if I were a statistic person, I would say as high as 75-80 percent of Christians don’t! It is with this train of thought, or line of thinking, that it was placed on my heart this morning to talk about, “The Unexplainable Absences of God.” And AMEN goes right here! Now I received this message thru listening to Pastor Jentezen Franklin, one of the online Pastors I have begun listing to a few months back on the IDisciple app on my phone. His message was about “Teaching Angels how to Worship God.” Yes, you read that right. I now some of you holier than thou folks, are in an uproar right now wondering how could any human teach of all things, ANGELS how to Worship God? Well I’m glad you asked, because I will explain it to you.
God created the Angels BEFORE He created the earth and human beings even too. The Bible says that even from their initial creation, the Angels worshipped God as their very first act of existence. It is almost as though they were “programmed” to Worship and Praise God all day everyday the minute they appeared. The Bible also speaks of God creating three Arch or “Chief” Angels, “Gabriel – Who was the messenger of God. Anytime God wanted to send someone a direct message, He would send Gabriel. #2. Michael – the Archangel and leader of Heavens army, is known for being the Angel who God told to kick Lucifer (aka Satan) out of Heaven when he and 1/3 of the former angels rebelled. (read Revelation 12:7-9). And then there was Chief Angel #3. Lucifer – The Leader of Worship and Praise in Heaven. The Bible speaks about Lucifer being a cherub, or an unearthly beings who directly attended to God. Lucifer is described as “he radiated light and glory, He was covered with gold and shimmering jewels, Lucifer was the Chief covering Angel, and he worked in the throne room of God. In other words, Lucifer (before he became Satan) was in very close relation to God! He was minister over music and Praise in Heaven. However, in the book of Isiah 14, you’ll read where Lucifer makes the mistake one day, of If I can saying it like I want to, “getting caught up in all of the Praise and Worship being given to God, and started to wonder what it would feel like to have it directed at him and only him.” This is where he starts to successfully plot turning 1/3 of the angels in Heaven to follow him. Now, I’ve given you a brief history/background on the Angels in Heaven. I gave that to you that way, in an effort to explain how the Angels were created to Worship and Praise God in a certain way. You see, the Angels that God created before He created the Earth and us humans, they knew nothing BUT God. They never experienced any, “lack” of anything, nor did they experience any storms in their lives, heartache or pain, basically their world was perfect in everyday because Heaven is perfect in every way. But Something happened if you’ll read the Book of Isiah starting with the 14 chapter. You learn about Satan starting to plot to rebel, and try to convince some Angels to rebel with him. It was at this point, that God decided to create Him some earthly humans, to Praise and Worship Him, but with a twist. He would give them the one thing He did not give the Angels in Heaven when He created them, the freedom of CHOICE to do so! The Angels in Heaven had no choice, they were programmed from creation to Worship, Praise and Serve God. And as Pastor Franklin stated in his sermon, “God wasn’t sad after He kicked Satan and the 1/3 former angels out of Heaven the following Sunday. The Angels that were left in Heaven, were there because they wanted to be, not because they had to be! And AMEN goes right here!
Now, If you would, turn with me in your Bibles to the book of Job chapter 1, which is said to be the oldest book of the Bible, starting around 6 chapter up to the 12th, In this book of the Bible, you’ll read where God has a conversation with Satan about a particular human……named Job. Job was a very wealthy man, who if I can Preach this like Pastor Jentezen Franklin did, but with my own twist. Job was like The Ewing family from the hit TV series Dallas in the 70’s, 80’s. About a rich oil booming family who were the talk of the whole state of Texas and owned a big ranch also known as South fork. The Bible says that he had a many barns, and plentiful livestock, and way more money than he could spend. However, unlike on the show Dallas, Job worshipped God as hard and as humbled, and legitimately as any person could, despite being a multi-millionaire. The irony here, is very rarely do you see “rich” folks worshipping God as Job did. Now to fast forward a little to wrap this up, God told Satan, “why don’t you go and tempt Job. You successfully turned 1/3 of My former Angels against Me, but I am not worried about Job” if I can paraphrase here. Satan was very confident in his ability to prove his point to God stating, “It is easy to Worship and Praise You when a person has everything their hearts desires and all that they need, but take all of that away from them and we’ll see how loyal your little Job is.” Again me paraphrasing. So God allow Satan to take everything Job had spent a lifetime accumulating. They took all his wealth, a whirlwind/ aka tornado came and took out all of this vast barns, and also his livestock. And if that wasn’t enough, a second tornado came and took out his house and killing all ten of his children. At this moment both God and Satan waited impatiently to see how Job would react. Instead of cursing God like Job’s wife did, Job started to Praise and Worship God. Even telling Him, “Lord, I had a sheep I would sacrifice it to you but I don’t, If I had a fat calf, I would sacrifice it to you, but I don’t, All I can offer you is my sincere Praise and Worship. Now watch this, after Job had Prayed to God and for his friends, who by the way, came to see if he would still be so “holy, holy” to God after losing everything, were shocked to see that he actually was, God restored everything Job had lost. Not only that, but Job 42:10 says that “The LORD DOUBLED everything that Job has once possessed, consoled him and comforted him for all the adversities that the Lord had brought upon him. Satan had no power over him, and the presence of the Lord was with him.” The reason our Worship and Praise means so much to God in His Absences, is because it shows Him “genuine” Praise and Worship. In other words, we did it because we wanted to, not because we were programmed to. Can I leave you with a question to ponder?
“Are YOU Still Praising and Worshipping God in Your Darkest Hours of the Storms When They Come?”
Can I Get An AMEN????
“Today, choose to “Ride or Die” with Jesus Christ! Afterall, He did it for you!”
