The Third Eye Perspective:

Thought For Today – “When Satan Tricks Us Into Strayin From God Jes For A Lil While"
Good Morning Saints! How are you doing this morning, good I hope? Did you have a good weekend, and start to your work week, I sure hope so? I actually had a longer weekend due to a surgical procedure that I had done yesterday. I had a bad auto accident back in December, and it injured my neck, shoulder, and lower back. I have experienced pain in all three every since. Started doing therapy not long after the accident it helped my neck and shoulder, but not my lower back. I have been doing pain meds, but they are the low dosages ones. I have a high tolerance for pain I've been told, but this injury at times, has me feel like a ninety year old man with severe arthritis! Anyways, yesterday I got an epidural injection in my lower spine and to say that even with numbing meds, I still felt that long needle going in LOL! Oh and I'm not done yet, I have to do the other side (Left) next week! If that's what it takes to get me back to doing the things I was doing, "Let''s getr done!" I have had a lot of free time on my hands, and it has given me an opportunity to do a lot of thinking, reading, and listening to different people speak online and on TV. This past Sunday, I visited my home Church I grew up in and spent many years attending. The speaker (Minister Latasha Williams) preached a very powerful sermon I Must Die Again," or something to that effect. She mad a statement that left my mind in pause, because I couldn't get that statement out of my head, "Satan will sometimes try to convince Christians that it is "Okay to stray away from God jes for a lil while." And you know my Third Eye Perspective way of looking at things kicked in, and it made that big bright light go off in my heart that God was telling me, "There's your next "Thought For Today Carlos." And AMEN goes right here!
A particular Biblical verse came to mind about the same time, "For I know the plans that I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (read Jeremiah 29:11). And I sincerely believe that the reason this verse popped into my head at that very moment, was because although Satan is regularly successful, in convincing people to buy into that lie, " When Satan tricks us into straying from God "jest for a lil while," that God wanted to make sure I reminded you all, that HE is still in control. However, the problem with this great revelation, is that God is also a "Free Choice" God! He's NOT going to force you to do anything that you don't want to do. If you don't to got to Church on Sunday morning, cool bet that, (aka "that's fine but really its not) The Good Lawd isn't going to do anything about it to you. If you don't want to read and study your Bible everyday, the Good Lawd isn't going to strike you down with a lightening bolt for it, "its all good" (aka it's really not all good), if you don't want to abide by His 10 Commandments, God isn't going turn you back into a pillar of salt like Lots wife, or a pile of dirt with which we all come from. However, what God WILL do, is that He will also remove His protective hands from over you. Do you remember all those times when you dodged all those close calls in your life? Well FYI those were the times that God DID have His protective hands over your life covering you. And you know what I'm referring to, close calls where you avoided dangerous situations, people, things, etc..you'll basically be fending for yourself and won't even know it, or maybe you will? If you are a Born Again Christian, Baptized in the name of THE Father, THE Son, and THE Holy Ghost, then you know when God IS with you, and when He's NOT. It's called "In Good "Fellowship" with Him or NOT in good "Fellowship" with Him. And again, AMEN goes right here too!
Basically, this "dead period" of time is that God is NOT watching over and protecting you from the things SEEN, but especially UNSEEN. True believers, aka Christians know that if they the mistake of straying from God, that His protective hands were left behind at the point in your life where you felt you didn't need God's help, covering, and protection. I am also reminded about the possessed man in Mark Chapter 5, that was possessed by 2000 demons, and he still managed to find the strength to run to and Worship Jesus for WHO He (Jesus) was. What is crazy, is that although they (demons) couldn't Worship Jesus because it is not possible for that to happen, they can recognize Him. There is a lesson to be learned here, despite the fact, this man was so far gone out of his mind, written off by anyone and everyone who knew him in the town for which he lived near. He was so far gone, that actually lived in a cemetery! He would cut himself the Bible says, with sharp rocks. The only time the townsfolk would concern themselves with him, was when they would go to add additional shackles to him to keep him chained up out of fear that he would harm them. Is it safe to assume, that this man stayed WAY FAR AWAY from the Lord God in Heaven? With 2000 demons inside him, I think that makes a pretty strong case, don't you? However, the moral that story, was that the man overcame those 2000 demons to Worship Jesus when he saw Jesus in the distance coming in his direction. We don't have anywhere near the challenges that man had keeping us from reconnecting, re-dedicating, seeking out diligently our way back to God in Heaven, and we will still take our own sweet time. Just to be clear, and for the record, It is NEVER okay, alright, acceptable, to stray from God! If you don't believe me, Ask Adam and Even? Or maybe ask the Israelites? Or Lots wife? Or The Prodigals son? And Can I leave you with a question to ponder today if I may?
"Have You Been Tricked, Hoodwinked, Bambooseled, by Satan Into Straying From God Almighty, even if only for a "lil while?" Tell me, how's that working out for you?"
"Today, choose to "Ride or Die" with Jesus Christ!"
