The Third Eye Perspective:

Thought For Today – “A Fresh Perspective”
Good Morning Saints! How are you doing this morning, good I hope? Did you have a good 4th of July, I hope so, because I sure did! In addition, I also took some extra days off for a mini vacation, and I must say, it was well deserved. It gave me time to reflect, as well as refocus my Spiritual mentality. It is with the train of thought, or line of thinking, that it was placed on my heart today to talk about, "A FRESH PERSPECTIVE." Anyone with any common sense knows that it is not only good, but necessary periodically to take a break from reality to recharge your mental batteries, and to refocus your outlook and direction. The reason it is necessary to do this, is that it helps us to determine if the current direction we are headed in is the right one. It is hard to do this without removing all of the daily hustle and bustle distractions, that demand so much of our time. It can only be done while on a hiatus from anything and everything that requires our immediate attention. If it is not done, then we run the risk of possibly being on the wrong path and not even realizing it.
A very good example of this, would be the Biblical story of the Israelites. If you remember, they were known as "God's chosen people," all throughout the Bible. And what a lot of people today don't understand about that, is that it means they were protected by, provided for by, Spiritually led by, and given Blessings by God Himself! That is a very valuable position to be in don'tcha think? However, just like with us today, the Israelites lost focus on the Spiritual direction they were supposed to be headed in. They became selfish, self-centered, arrogant, and most importantly, self-reliant. They did feel they needed God anymore. Now going in rewind, I'm referring to the time period after they had been freed from over 400 years of oppression into slavery. Pause...........a lesson to be learned here, is that anytime we remove God from our daily lives, we will end up in sometype of bondage that makes us a slave to it. This usually comes in the form of bad luck, storms, hard times, and or very dark times. Remember, God in Heaven aka our Lord and Savior and Creator is a "free choice" God! If you feel you don't want or need Him in your life, He will oblige your request, as the Israelites found out. That one stupid move, cost them 40 additional years of exile wandering around in the desert! And we all today can relate to this, because we have at one point or another strayed away from God and we paid dearly. I know I have, and i'm not ashamed to admit that it cost me dearly after I did it! And AMEN goes right here!
It took the Israelites 40 extra years to get "A FRESH PERSPECTIVE," or to regain their focus back on God, which is exactly where it should have been all along just like with us. I am also reminded of the story of the Prodigals son, who it took going out and blowing his portion of his family's inheritance to realize how good he had it in the first place. But we are just like him aren't we? We have to learn things the hard way at times, in order for it to really sink in don't we? I know thinking back over my past, I felt life and even at tines God dealt me some pretty big blows! But after I sat and really thought about it rationally, I realized that God wasn't behind those devastating originating, me taking my focus off of God is what caused them. However, it is just human nature to look to blame God or someone else for our mistakes, knowing all along it was nobody's fault but our own. Even when the Israelites started heading down the wrong road, they had so many warnings that they ignored, which could have prevented their extended time in the wilderness, aka desert but they ignored them just like we do in today's society. The trick to the process is, to eliminate or at the very least, minimize the time frame that we take our eyes off of God. Can I leave you with a question to ponder today if I may?
"Are You In Need of A Fresh Perspective Of The Current Direction You Are Heading Towards?"
Can I Get An AMEN????
