Roping dummy's..?"
I use sawhorse that's only 18" tall, covered in carpet. I also built a platform that is 16" tall by 3' wide and 92" long. That's the length of a pre-cut stud. The top is 2" x 4" precuts w/about a 1/4" space between them. 2"x4" around the side w/4" treated posts in each corner. I the posts are real short because I have those cement blocks that are taperd and allow for a 4" post to set in them.U could make the posts longer and just let them set on the ground. Its very sturdy platform and I get at the back and walk up the right hand side and rope the dummy finishing on my right foot.then I pitch the slack and practice holding my slack as I step off w/left foot hitting the ground first. its a pretty good workout if you rope it twenty times. like all my ideas my wife hoo-rawd me, but now she sees some advantages,. She puts rugs on it to dry and they dry top and bottom due to the 1/4" spaces. You can dry saddle pads on it too. I used Thompsons water seal to seal it..maybe I can figure out how to post a picture of it. --Previous Message-- : Looking to purchase a dummy,Tuff : kaf,Rerun, perfect cas perfect calf...
