The stock contractors still hot shot the roughstock. The team ropers still get as much flack from the ara's as anybody except the steer ropers for stretching to hard, but who gets all the stupid rules? The calf ropers.
Seems like the people who make the rules, don't want any rule changes to their events though.
Jim Bob remember the old spider trick the stock contractors use to use?

: If the board wants to do something

: Implementing that rule at the NFR goes to
: show
: you that the board of directors are the ones
: that have been behind it all along.
: Otherwise they would waiver the rule when it
: comes to a world championship. There isn't
: one calf roper on the board.
:
: The only other crazy rule that can cost a
: person a world championship is the cross
: fire rule in the team roping. I always
: thought team roping was about being fast.

: I guess all the money involved keeps the

: This is really a crappy rule. It puts a LOT
: of responsibility on the flag man concerning
: a judgement call.
:
: Monty's calf didn't come straight over
: backwards landing on it's head with feet in
: the air. The rule has verbiage in it about
: landing on it's head or back of shoulders
: with feet in the air.
