The Fort Worth Super Shootout® presented by Cinch, January 21, was designed with both seasoned and non-seasoned rodeo fans in mind.
This competition format is the next generation of rodeo and will feature champions from eight of the greatest rodeos across the country competing in bareback, saddle bronc, bull riding, barrel racing and steer wrestling.
Contestants will compete for a $100,000 purse, and will represent the rodeo organization from which they were a previous champion in a tournament style match. Along with last year’s Fort Worth Rodeo champions, other rodeos that will be featured are Rodeo Austin; Rodeo Houston; San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo; National Western Stock Show and Rodeo; Reno Rodeo, Cheyenne Frontier Days and Calgary Stampede. Each of the eight contestants per event will compete once with the four fastest times or highest scores advancing to the Championship Shootout. In a break from tradition where animals that are competed on in the roughstock events are randomly drawn, the contestants are going to be able to choose their animals.

: They sponsor calf ropers, but I bet the ropers

: I think the Cinch Chute out rodeo do not
: have
: calf roping or team roping. Wonder if that
: will change at Vegas. I see they are paying
: out $200,000. Which when divided by 5
: events instead of 8 ( 2 team ropers) comes
: out to an even $40,000 per event.
:
: Some of you Facebook Calf Roping forum
: members need to ask on there why they do
: include calf roping and team roping and see
: if someone has an answer.
