The main meaning of the review is that they credit the leading lady with carrying the entire play. They do state though at the end of the review that Stephen and she are a "pas de deux"....I did not know this phrase in French..it is referring to a ballet move where the man is the central figure who lifts the ballerina and helps her do leaps which she could not do without his strength and backing..so in other words,they complimented SC in helping the leading lady to be the center of all the attention.
