hey all,
After a year of organising, Ladyfest Brighton is super
proud to present a five day festival jam packed with
feminist, d.i.y. and queer events.
Highlights include;
* Mz Fontaine launching the festival with a hip hop
night (Wednesday 19th October- tickets not included in
the weekend pass)
* 20+ workshops over three days (including women's
history and activism; skill-sharing and d.i.y.
culture; and women's health, bodies and sexuality).
* Allison Wolfe (Bratmobile) and Tobi Vail (Bikini
Kill)appearing with their new bands- Partyline and
Spider & the Webs
* Electrelane and Afrirampo co-headlining
* A three day film festival showcasing the work of
women film-makers and feminist activists (including
radical cheerleading; Still Doing it: The sex lives of
women over 60; Malaqueerche; Grrly Show; Don't Need
You; Slut; I Was a Teenage Feminist, and more..)
* A zine reading library and zine distros
* Discussion panels on riot grrrl (with original riot
grrrls Allison and Tobi), men in feminism,
trans-inclusion, feminist history, self-publishing,
and starting up a Ladyfest

All event Weekend passes (20-23rd October)are on sale
now for Ł40. this includes entry to all film
screenings, art shows, workshops, panel discussion,
gigs and club nights, thursday 20th to Sunday 23rd.
Plus free programme.

Electrelane and Afrirampo tickets (Saturday 22nd
October) will be on advance sale in Rounder Records,
Resident, and Edgeword (see website for more details).
There are only a very limited amount of weekend passes
available due to the intimate size of some of the
venues- so please book early to avoid dissapointment!
Limited tickets for individual events will be on sale
at the door (entry priority going to wristbands).
