I’m impressed with the distance you travelled in a world of weapons and mines
I’m in awe of the skills you managed to master in order to survive
I admire the risks you took for granted - the depth you have dived
I’m glad to have such a powerful force as my roots and in my life
No one I know would live that way
You keep going on this way darling
And you’ll never understand the price you’ve paid
I’d climb fences and swim across sea’s for a chance I could help
you won’t let me help out - you’ve learned to only trust yourself
