As a girlartist myself, i would ten times prefer a work of a man, about his mother as the holy Mary, than a girl proclaiming her power by being ####ed by as many times as possible. x hester

Hi. Nice to hear positive sounds about the sixties-women. They truly have done a marvellous job. I too have become very alarmed by the increase of porn in our daily lives. It's like you can't switch on a tv after seven, not to stumble upon something pornographic. I understand your problem with porn. Women are either depicted as lusty sexmachines or b###hes who need a good lesson. ( these stereotypes are also emerging in more daytime tv, like soaps and children/teen programmes.)
The trouble that i have with your call for women art , is that i know from experience that women don't necessarily make pro-female art.
Firstly, most female artists i know have made work from polarized positions either as victim or escapist. As result the artworld continues to marginalize artworks created by women by pigeonholing them into the category of "women art". This categorization implies that women-made art is not only non-mainstream, but also a trend, thus denying them a place in the regular arthistory.
