Sorry to hear about that!!
Regarding your website: I'm sure the company would send the login info to you if you sent them an email from the same account you signed up with. Then you can at least FTP your comics back onto your harddrive.
Regarding your frustration: I feel your pain. I would try to comfort you but then I get very zen about it and that irritates people, very understandably. So i just hope that this is the first and last time your computer thinks it's an egg.
