: Boy, that's a good question. As with any
: antique gun it's condition must be taken
: into consideration as well as the design.
: They where actually used with some pretty
: heavy loads in it's day. I did a google
: search here state side and could find any
: difinitive answers to your (?). But here's a
: link of it's history, maybe it'll give you
: more info or possible sources to search.

: Hi Folks,
: The other day i did some gun trading, and
: ended up with a Snider Conversion. It might
: be a Zulu? But sometime someone has sported
: it. Nice checking, the gun is a 12ga. I have
: allways wanted to have a 32-40 B.P. rifle, I
: love Old Single Shot Rifles, but I don't
: know how to find out if the action is strong
: enough? I only shoot 60grs of ffg in my
: 45-70.
: I would be great full for any advice!
:
: Fred, Thanks for the help! My rifle is a Zulu, and I think I will make a 22lr gun out of it someday, several people have said the action was fairly weak. Then one guy said that, those guns shot some pretty heavy B.P. shotgun loads!
I have plenty of time to thing about this project!
Thanks
Greg
