: Hey everybody, I'm new to the site and I was
: hoping someone could help me out. A few
: years ago I received a Euroarms .44 Cal
: Kentuckian rifle as a gift. I've never seen
: a .44 Cal muzzleloading rifle or know of
: anyone that has. I was hoping I could get an
: idea on powder, patch and ball
: configurations I should use. The rifle
: looks brand new but I thought about having a
: gunsmith take a look at it before I fire it.
: I've been around guns all my life but not
: muzzleloaders so this is new territory for
: me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

: Also, anyone have any idea what this rifle
: could be worth? The only marks on the barrel
: are:
: Euroarms-Brescia-Italy, .44 Cal, Blackpowder
: Only, A7353, XX9, Kentuckian.
Mike: I recently purchase the same rifle (used). I am going to try a .433 round ball made from a Lee round ball mould. A .440 fits but does not leave much room for a .010 patch. 50 gr. of FFF powder would be a good start load. The percussion nipple on my rifle needs to be replaced and am not sure what size it is. Anyone know what size it would take. Thanks sbkcabin@kvis.net
