Hey everybody, I'm new to the site and I was hoping someone could help me out. A few years ago I received a Euroarms .44 Cal Kentuckian rifle as a gift. I've never seen a .44 Cal muzzleloading rifle or know of anyone that has. I was hoping I could get an idea on powder, patch and ball configurations I should use. The rifle looks brand new but I thought about having a gunsmith take a look at it before I fire it. I've been around guns all my life but not muzzleloaders so this is new territory for me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
-Mike
Also, anyone have any idea what this rifle could be worth? The only marks on the barrel are:
Euroarms-Brescia-Italy, .44 Cal, Blackpowder Only, A7353, XX9, Kentuckian.
