As I recall the Cape gun was 12 guage, which would make it .72 cal. They are pretty hard to come by today. they were a well make gun, so people tend to keep them. They handle very well. A friend had one, and hunted pheasant with it. He said he would rather have a gun that handled well, than a gun with a second shot. It worked for him, he killed a lot more pheasants than I ever did.
