Yes! A .45 caliber muzzleloader is even capable of taking down elk sized game. .50 is just a waste of meat. A roundball would be a good choice because it is pointless to hunt with a traditional gun with modern ammo. --Previous Message-- : Could a person hunt and take down whitetail : deer in Wisconsin with a .45 Cal Blue ridge : percussion rifle?
