Powder Charge

I'm looking for guidance on a beginning powder charge for a 45cal Hopkins & Allen muzzle loading rifle. It's been eons since I shot this with my father and I don't know where to start. I've got some Pyrodex CTG from reloading a 45/70. Any recommendation on the powder to use would be appreciated also.
