I picked up a Pietta 1858 Remington today at Cabellas. Reading though the supplied manuals The factory book recomends a charge of 12-15 gr of FFFG with a .454" bullet. The Cabella's book taht came with it recomends a charge of 35 gr of FFFG and a .451 bullet. BIG DIFFERENCE! What or how do you generally load these?
