I would start by going and getting a few .440 lead balls and some .010 pre-lubed patches, and some powder of your choice. I use Hogden's 777. For this caliber I would use FFG. I am not sure if it is a percussion or flintlock. If its a flintlock you will also need some FFFFG powder to prime the pan. I would also get some extra flints. If its a percussion you will need either #10 or #11 caps. The best advice I can give is to find a long-time bp shooter and get their help. Or, if you decide you don't want it, donate it to the ministry I am involved in for a tax deduction. See my post or email me.
