: I hate to rain on your parade but I'd
: seriously doubt you will find conversions
: for those two. CVA's were mostly made in
: Spain although I believe some models came
: from Italy. I think the Richland Arms guns
: mostly came from Italy. Richland had a very
: poor reputation.

: How can I find who manufactured the two
: black
: powder revolvers that I now own? One (1851
: Navy Colt 36 cal.) was a gift. The other
: (1860 Remmington 44 cal.) came in a trade.
: Neither one was new nor came with any info.
: The Remmington is stamped Connecticut Valley
: Arms. The Colt is stamped Richland Arms
: Company. I need to know the manufacturer in
: order to purchase conversion kits for them.

: Thanks for your help Mr. Hansen. I have not known anyone who owned or had any experence with Richland Arms. The Remmington is a brass frame so conversion is out. There is still a chance for the Colt. R&D Conversions said to send it to them and they would try to fit it. I think I will do that and see what happens. They have been very helpful so far.
