: Look all over the gun for stampings in the
: metal. Those will give us the info to
: identify the maker. There will be a mix of
: manufacturers marks and proof marks. All
: over the barrel and under the ram arm is a
: good place to start. Also look on bottom of
: the frame just ahead of the trigger guard.

: I acquired a BP Revolver, and sholder stock
: a time back. The revolver, and stock are in
: new, unused condition. The revolver has a
: brass frame, that is engraved, and the bbl.
: is also engraved. the cylinder is roll
: ingraved with a navy scene. the bbl. is
: octogonal. The cal. is .44, and the hammer,
: and the loading ram is case hardened. All in
: all the revolver's finish is of very good
: quality. The stock is also new and unused,
: and of very good quality. the Revolver has
: the pins on the frame to accept the sholder
: stock, but the bottom of the grip frame
: dosn't have the cut out for the stock's
: lower clamp. The revolver's ser. # is
: D697xx. Can anyone anyone give me any info.
