The XX9 means that it was made in 1973.
Look the revolver over real good for any logo or markings. Drop the loading lever and look on the barrel, that is a commonn place for the maker's mark. Take the grips off and look on the sides of the grip frame, it could also be there. In front of the trigger guard, on the bottom of the frame is another place. Another place is on the left side of the frame below the cylinder.
