hawes 36 cal navy

I just bought a used hawes 36 cal. hawes went out of business years ago. it appears that it is an exact replica of the pietta. hawes was just a importer.the gun was built in italy. the gun is in truly perfect condition. it came in a kit the original balls caps and flask are still in the box there are 96 balls and 96 caps so I figure it was shot 1 time. can anyone tell me if pietta actually built this gun. It is a 1858 model full steel frame with top strap over cylinder. it looks just like the 36 cal police with 5.5 in barrel. Thanks Vic ( sundowner )
