I have a Traditions Crockett .32 rifle and I enjoy shooting it. It is quite accurate, shoots a clover leaf at 50 yards with no noticeable recoil. At 20 grains of Pyrodex P you can get a lot of shots from a pound jar.
The .50 has an advantage in the larger holes it makes in the target. Targets are scored by where the outer circumference of the hole cuts the target and can get you higher scores. A hit in the same spot near but outside the 9 ring, could score a 10 with a .50 and a 9 with the .32.
