I have a Colt 1860 Model Army. All the numbers match except the wedge. Generally very good condition but the barrel to frame fit seems loose. If I push the barrel and frame tight together I hold it up to the light and I can see daylight between the front on the wedge and the arbour. Could this be the problem, it looks as though it is. Can this be remedied, ie oversize wedge etc? This is an original and not a repro by the way. Thanks to any who may offer a solution to this defect or is this normal with these Colts?
