Why do you have to "make"cartridges?To load you measure out iiif B.P.,a .38 cal. empty is a good load.Load the powder in the chamber,add the.36 cal wad .36 cal patched ball ,top with crisco.and your ready .Or you might go for a conversion cylinder that would allow you to shoot 38 long colt cart.The cylinders are expensive cost as much as the pistol.
