Hi ive got a 54 cal. muzzleloader its kind of old i think? It was my dads it says on the top of the berrle "WESTERN ARMS CORP. SANTA FE N.M. JEDEDIA SMITH 1799-1831" AND ON THE SIDE OF THE BERRLE IT SAYS "597 54 CAL". It has the UBERTI insignia stampt on the bottom. Ther is a difrint number on the berrle tang. The bor is slightly smaller then a 54 we have ben toled a few times that it is a 52 cal. bore. So im guessing it is a Uberti? do you know the value of this gun? its not realy browned or blued its kind of plum colerd my dad bought this from a preacher frind of his and was told he( the preacher) put it together as a kit i think? still shoots good it dos not have the original sights on it it has true glow sight on it my dad got so he cant see the blade sight any more. We have also had trouble finding round balls or conicals the right size can some one help with this? Tanks, Jim
