Penguin Hoppes9 pistol

I picked up a 45cal target pistol at a flea-market from Ethan Allen Pistols, Hoppes 9, Penguin Ind, new condition, unfired? I have been trying to track down information on how old it is, who made it? etc. It is a model 300F target pistol origanally produced in 1848, and either made or distributed by the above company (ies). It is stamped, Made In USA. Any body know what I have? Thanks
