I have an 1858 F.LLipieta Remington New Army. I am having big problems with my cylinder sticking and refusing to turn. I am having even worse trouble getting my cylinder pin to pull out after even a few cylinders of shooting. The pin slides are tight. The pin does not have side to side play. It can rotate a fair amount. I believe I have heard from someone that using gun oil on the pin will cause the powder residue to stick worse. Is this true? What can I do to avoid this problem. The cylinder works great before the gun is fired several times.
